Present and attentive practitioner
I have seen the same Psychiatrist for several years but recently was referred to Dr Theiss for a second opinion. She was punctual, spent alot of time taking my history, listened to my concerns and thoughts regarding medications.I found the whole office to be friendly, efficient and polite. I left the office feeling amazed that there were still small offices with a very human and personal approach. I’m delighted to have found this office and will continue to see her.

I've been a patient of Dr. Theiss's for over 4 years. I've found Dr. Theiss to be thorough, consistent, a wonderful listener who gives smart advice and is very understanding of situations that come up suddenly. I very much appreciate the support I receive in this office. The talk therapist Shelly is equally as talented and conscientious and helped with several issues I was having. In fact, she was so effective that I felt almost immediate relief after speaking to her. The other Doctors who I've seen there have been terrific with me as well. I have never had any problems calling and asking to be seen immediately. The front desk folks have been indispensable to me as I tend to forget to write down when my appointment is and they cheerfully look it up for me. I'm happy with this establishment and I would highly recommend seeing anyone who is available in the office on PGA Blvd.

First visit was via phone due to COVID she called me at appointed time I assumed I was talking to Dr Theiss. She suggested tweaking meds including eliminating one temporarily I stopped taking it When office called to confirm second appointment I was shocked to learn I had been talking to the NP not the doctor and upcoming appointment was also with NP She never introduced herself, was extremely unprofessional telling me a great deal of her own personal history including losing her husband at 32 yrs old and on and on Ok so after all this I called my mail order rx to check on the status of my prescriptions only to find out she cancelled one of my meds never asking me All of this is unbelievable. I would never let anyone I of know go to this office First receptionist was a total abrasive uninformed person second one was at least educated

Very helpful, listened to me well. Suggested "old fashioned" meds rather than being driven by pharmaceutical reps. Helped me get care within my budget. Liked her care very much

Two times while waiting for my appointment I overheard Dr. Theiss talking negatively about her patients. She even said at one point “oh well she’ll have to get over it.” I was shocked that a therapist would think that way. I was glad I was seeing the other therapist in that office and not her. Needless to say, I didn’t go back after I observed this behavior more than once along with the previous terrible service I got from the person who handles the insurance. If you have questions or need

She knows her meds very well, but that’s we’re I draw the line. Behaviorally , she seemed to trivialize my concerns, and didn’t grasp my concerns.

She didnt even keep track of how much meditication she was perscribing me each month. Showed a lack of intrest and was quick just to give medication without asking many questions. ??????

This doctor is awful! Dismissive and cold. She could not get through the session quick enough and barely looked up at me when talking. I was hoping to explore new medication options since the ones prescribed were not working & she put the question back on me, asking what it was I wanted to take. I left the office feeling defeated and confused. She also decreased one of the medications I was on without discussing it with me. She never returned my call to clarify whether this was a mistake or not.
