Dr. Cyrus Wong, MD

Years ago, Dr. Wong successfully performed a minimally invasive procedure on my spine to relieve presure on spinal cord and nerve roots. The results were delightful. Much later, my age and advancing arthritis again caused narrowing of the spinal spaces and nerve pain when walking. After a time and attempting things like decompression treatments, I contacted Dr. Wong. We first tried physical therapy. I reported that PT only helped a litle and temporarily. Spinal fusion and laminectomy surgery was indicated. Dr. Wong's team has an amazing pre-surgery educational and testing process so I knew all about the upcoming surgey and how to properly repair. Dr. Wong performed surgery January 13, 2025. The incision was healing well within a week. I was walking without assistance in 10 days. I am now starting to exercise lightly on my exercise bike. I can now walk well. My primary care physician and I are satisfied with progress, and I feel I am well on the way to full recovery.

I'm so grateful to God for guiding me to Dr. Wong. When I first went to see him, I was dealing with a nuerofibroma tumor on my neck that was making it hard to walk and left my right side feeling numb. I was told i only had only 5% of my spinal cord was working. Dr. Wong didn't waste any time. He quickly came up with a plan and got me into surgery the next week. It was like 9 hours, but when I woke up, the numbness was gone, and I could walk properly again. Now, I'm even training for a 5k! Since the surgery in 2022, Dr. Wong and his team have been awesome. They checked up on me every month at first and his PA was a text way if needed, we then switched to once a year a few months after i got my brace off. Everyone, from his office to the hospital, had nothing but good things to say about him. I'm just really thankful that God lead me to Dr. Wong and his whole team. They've made such a difference in my life, and I feel lucky to have found them.

Felt rushed out no real explanation on how to go about my pain, felt like information could've been told to me over the phone, what a waste of time.

Dr. Wong cared for me after a MVA. He has been amazing in my care. I am still in the early stages of recovery but my surgery and the care given so far have been top notch. I would recommend him to my closest.
