Wonderful Surgeon
The reviews I read on this forum made me very hesitant to move forward with Dr. Lohr as my surgeon but after meeting her all my concerns were eliminated. She was so attentive and listened to all my questions and concerns and responded with compassion and education. I would highly recommend her!

This is was undoubtedly, the most disheartening gynecological experience I have ever had. She was dismissive, rude, and told me that my struggle with low libido was due solely to psychological issues. She verbatim said, “you need to read more books on sexuality” to better understand yourself. She then told me I don’t actually struggle with low libido, as if I don’t understand my experience. I never returned. The front desk staff is lovely, but her bedside manner is so poor that I am unwilling to go back to that clinic.

Uncaring, and unkind
Whilst pregnant my regular OB wasn’t available and unfortunately I was stuck with Dr. Lohr. I already was having a physically and mentally taxing pregnancy, my first one, HG, orthostatic hypotension, and overall anxiety. She was rude, completely negated every concern I had and ultimately made me feel stupid. I don’t expect a doctor to hold my hand but while I’m crying in pain, maybe don’t be so unkind it ensues more tears. I’ve never had a more horrible experience. Very unprofessional. 0 stars. Don’t recommended. See literally anyone else. Also my recommendation to Dr. Lohr, find a different specialty maybe? GI may be more up your alley.

I have never left a doctors appointment with a worse taste in my mouth. I am struggling with a painful mysterious condition that I had hoped to get taken care of, I had never seen Dr.Lohr before and will never again. She walked in annoyed and after asking a question or two about my condition seemed to disbelieve my condition until she took a look. She literally inspected it briefly and then was done in less than a minute. I asked her to take a swab for labs to figure out what it was or maybe make incisions if necessary. She told me she couldn't do anything and prescribed me some basic antibiotics that have absolutely NOTHING for me. In fact, my condition has gotten worse. She obviously is not knowledgeable, doesn't take the time to help her patients, or make them feel comfortable. The whole appointment was a total waste of a copay. She has no respect for her patients money and did nothing to help and was dismissive and RUDE. She should honestly be fired for her demeanor alone.

Rudest provider i have ever encountered
My regular wonderful OB/GYN was not in. I got Dr. Lohr. As soon as she walked into the room, she seemed irritated, dismissive, arrogant, cold, and annoyed. I am OK with not having a great bedside manner if you know your stuff. But she was downright despicable. I was a week out of having a major hysterectomy and had some concerns and she made me feel like a total idiot. Womens healthcare associates are top notch. Having a provider working for them with reviews that go back several years and she still at it is shocking I am writing a formal complaint against her. No patient or woman should ever feel stupid about their healthcare.

Not trauma informed
I had worked with Dr. lohr for years and for my two births. She was always gruff bordering on rude/mean but I got used to it. After my daughter was born by c section after a brutal failed induction, I developed severe postpartum depression. After months of not being able to find a psychiatrist I went to her as a last effort. I had no where else to ask for help. Given my health history she couldn’t prescribe, but even a few words of care would have helped me. Instead, she was startlingly dismissive, ice cold and sent me on my way after five minutes no immediate resources. I said I was in crisis - she say “sogo to the hospital then.” I am a kind, over-pleasing patient. There are no 2 sides to this story. Maybe she has healed her unresolved shame or cold social skills. Doesn’t matter. I won’t return. I left that appt. so hopeless that I considered ending it. Don’t become an OB if you don’t center maternal mental health. Womens lives are at stake. Their kids lives are at stake.

Awful experience
I went into my appt to get advice on tapering off of the BC pill, wanting to share my concerns about taking it for 10+ years, wanting to take back control of my cycle, etc. I expressed that I have been with my current partner for 8 years and that we are not specifically trying to conceive, but if I were to become pregnant we would happily accept that next stage in our lives. I was immediately shut down with annoyance, and Dr Lohr saying "Well if you don't want to get pregnant TOMORROW you need to stay on birth control". She was not listening to any of my concerns, and I ultimately felt like I was bullied into her writing a new prescription just so she would stop her condescending tone and I could get out of that office ASAP. I also have a very strong vasovagal response to many medical procedures, I made sure to emphasize this with the nurse and with Dr Lohr. She still RUSHED through my pap and I was left trying to calm myself down from fainting. Just a terrible experience all around.

Dismissive, poor bedside manner, communication
Was dismissive, almost felt like she was short with me. Exam felt rushed. She also refused to do tests that I requested which she later realized I needed, so she ordered them weeks later and I had to go back for them. No communication during exam either.

Would never bother to leave a review - but was so taken aback by how bad this doctors bedside manner was I decided to google and see what others said. In a routine postpartum stay I met with multiple doctors on rounds. This doctor walked into the room never having met us and already seemed annoyed?! Anyway - after trying to quickly explain a relevant medical history problem that was presenting itself again, she basically rolled her eyes, made us feel like we were being idiots and overreacting. Turns out what she had prescribed wasn’t strong enough, but she wouldn’t even give me 2 minutes to explain that due to my history I needed a different med. My husband and I are very friendly and non-demanding people. It was quite frankly shocking and made a medical complication much worse because she didn’t give a sh*t and it wasn’t worth her time. Thank god for kind nurses who came in and spent the time to figure out what was happening.

Postpartum patient – Jul 17, 2021

This is the first time that I've felt badly enough about care I've received to write a review about a doctor. I have worked in the healthcare industry and understand that now is an especially difficult time for providers. That said, Dr. Lohr has been extremely dismissive of my condition, did not tell me what she was doing during a complicated procedure that went badly, does not take the time to answer my questions or explain what to expect, has nurses deliver important news instead of delivering it herself, and has made a very difficult situation much scarier due to the lack of information provided. She's made me feel irrational for asking questions and like I am a waste of her time. When I went to another doctor for a second opinion, my experience was 100% better. I could say a lot more, but I'll just recommend that you find another doctor who will make an effort to communicate.

Dr. Lohr never entered my hospital room to consult with me about the infection that led to my emergency c-section—she just called and explained my condition over the phone (this was long before the COVID outbreak, and she provided no explanation for her distance). With a fever of 104 degrees, I was delirious and unable to comprehend the situation enough to make informed decisions, but Dr. Lohr refused to enter my hospital room, so my husband and doula were left in the dark. This doctor didn't make an appearance until she absolutely had to: in order to obtain my signature consenting to the surgery. After being sent home, I developed further complications from the medication I was prescribed, so I called Dr. Lohr to ask for advice, and she said, verbatim, "I don't know what you expect me to do about that over the phone." I couldn't even make up a more ironic response.

She rushed through everything and didn't allow me any time to ask her anything or discuss my history. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. When I had my annual exam, it lasted less than 5 minutes and she didn't communicate any of what she was doing, so I have no idea what she even examined or tested form. I will not be going back.
