Nice Doctor but horrible service
Typical wait time is one year. Either the doctor doesn't know how many patients she can handle or the practice doesn't care.

Dr. Chin has been seeing my daughter for 5 years now. It's true that it can be difficult to get on her schedule but it's totally worth the wait. She never rushes through an appointment and treats my daughter with such kindness and respect.

Dr. Chin gave us the incorrect bone age when she called back. I requested a copy of my child's scan & it was over a year advanced from what she told me. This makes a big difference in making a decision to "watch and wait" approach vs. running more tests & possibly initiating a pharmacological treatment. She was unresponsive to phone calls. She was short, abrupt and rude in my last conversation. I told her I was taking my child to a different endocrinologist and she hung up on me( absolutely insane no matter what and no questions why, etc...guess it's because she knew as a practitioner exactly what she was doing and given her malpractice, she was likely happy to not have my child as a patient). With all this said, I am in healthcare & understand 100% what was explained & the fact she lied about the bone scan allowed me to see she was waiting until my child was over the age threshold to do much by way of guidelines. Unethical & gives no alternative to treat & the lie was the last straw.

I tried to get an appointment with Dr. Chin for my son as a new patient. Her office would not even book the appointment until I had x-rays done (they won't prescribe the x-rays I had to go to my pediatrician to have him prescribe), a consult script from my pediatrician even though my health plan does not require referrals and a growth chart. All had to be received in advance and they refuse allow email -- fax only. They claimed the no email was for HIPAA compliance but HIPAA has no such rules

Our son saw Dr. Chin for over a decade, through senior year of high school. The outcome of her medical treatment plan for him was everything we hoped for and more. She was great to work with, and helped us with the approvals through our insurance company! She always took the time to speak to our son directly about his dreams for the future and always kept an optimistic, but realistic attitude. She always explained our options in detail, and answered our questions thoroughly.

Obviously has too many patients only schedules appointments based on severity of conditions. Disappointed came highly recommended. Hopefully other doctors are more interested in helping all patients.

I wrote a summary of my entire experience with her on my blog, but all I can say is wow. I was so scared and nervous to talk to her, thinking she'd be like all the other doctors I've encountered before. But she left me speechless. Dr. Chin is the best doctor, she is warm, fuzzy, smiley and will make you feel at home. Best best best best doctor I've ever had in my entire life. Ever. She has my recommendation for life.
