Dr. Damaris Wessel, DO

Useless. The DAY I met her, she took me off my bp meds. Said it was stable. Yeah. That’s what the meds are for. Now I’m steadily around 138/95…..and a new pt at a cardiologist. Avoid her unless you love to be annoyed

I dont know what is worse - Dr Wessel or the staff. She doesnt listen and gets you in and out without doing her job. the staff are bullies and harass and intimidate patients. Will never go again.

One of the best doctors we ever had. And we moved a lot and had A LOT of different doctors. Dr. Wessel is very thorough and professional. She will follow the protocols - that is true and expected. She will not provide with Rx without appointment nor prescribe unnecessary tests, but if you do have some real concern she will provide with all the support and all necessary referrals. She always replies to messages through Mainline system, and she is willing to help with any papers and forms you may need from a doctor. Yes there are may be waiting time in her office (but never too long), but everyone in the office is doing their best, and are helpful. As of March 2022. I feel very sad that after our move we cannot find the same quality of healthcare in new area :(

I went in today for a new patient physical exam and I was promptly checked in which was great but when I went back to see the doctor and the doctor came in it quickly went downhill from there. I felt like I was spoken to in a condescending manner and was left feeling like I wasted my time. I brought up a concern which was only mentioned to have on file in my chart and I feel as if she hyper focused on this concern that she had no concerns on attending to in the first place and never did a compete review of systems. Upon leaving my girlfriend attempted to ask her a question and she completely proceeded to keep walking out. We asked about routine blood work which is usually standard for a routine physical especially a new patient that hasn't seen a doctor in years, I was told that given the nature of the visit it was not warranted. Red flag ??: huh?!! Im confused. It's a sad but I feel like I was treated unfair and not given the proper care I expected. Avoid her if you can

Always educates you , very friendly, staff is friendly and helped out alit with several health issues .

Fine if you just need a generic checkup, but if you have specific concerns I'd go elsewhere. Dr. Wessel doesn't think outside the box and chooses to fit your symptoms into the easiest box possible, even if that diagnosis doesn't take into consideration all the factors at play. If I hadn't fought for additional testing, she would have been just fine to brush my concerns aside and in so doing she would have missed a HUGE diagnosis. I basically diagnosed myself. Very disappointing.

Dr. Wessel refused to call in RX for simple antibiotic to treat my painful UTI -- a condition I get periodically. Was told I must bring in a urine sample and only had 1 hour before closing, which I was unable to do. She called in an RX a year or so before for a prior UTI w/o requiring urine as had my previous family doc, now retired. It was suggested I go to an Urgent Care facility -- which I am about to do. Bye bye Dr. Wessel from me and my husband who just became yr new patient on my referral
