Wonderful Human
Dr. Silasi listens to his patients and the families. He lays out treatment options. He is optimistic, but realistic. Dr. Silasi came on my mother's case when she was diagnosed with stage 4B ovarian cancer. Six months later, I can still give my mother a hug. I will forever be grateful for not just his amazing skill and knowledge, but also his kindness and humanity.

He ruined my life
Made bad judgements during surgery that nearly cost me my life at the time and I continue suffering the consequences 10 years later.

Dr silasi himself one doesn't look like he's in his 50s two is well mannered and funny! Very nice but he has a lot of patients so it all seems rushed and you consistently have to deal with his nurses who seem to have gotten a degree off of web MD if you catch my drift you have cancer but they will tell you your symptoms aren't related lol really beginning to dislike his nurses 100% makes the entire experience bad and makes me wonder if it's even worth it?

Dr. Silasi is amazing. It is really difficult to find a fantastic surgeon who has a great bedside manner. He is knowledgeable, funny, and goes to great lengths to give you all of your options and explain your condition to you. From a person who gets very anxious around doctors, I would gladly recommend Dr. Silasi and his team.

I was referred to Dr. Silasi for treatment of cervical cancer. I am a nurse educator, and I want facts, honest answers, good explanations, and respectful treatment. He was very charming and witty on first visit; said he'd take good care of me. Asked about 5-year survival he said 75% of patients survived. I searched the American Cancer Society website, and they said survival was based on staging of thte tumor, and that for my stage it was 56%. When I asked him about the mismatch he said their statistic based on the SEER database was garbage, and that he never put data into it (that explains poor data!). He told me he was the busiest oncological surgeon at YNHH and he couldn't answer my questions; if I sent them his nurse would address them (she never has). He criticized former colleagues at Bridgeport Hospital - they treated him "badly" so he quit working there. I waited 2.5 hours for a 15-minute appointment. He didn't listen well.

Dr. Silasi literally saved my life. He made me feel I was his only patient. I hold such high regard for Dr. Silasi. He's thorough, never in a rush, answers all questions. I was misdiagnosed in New York. He was on point with my diagnosis of stage 3C uterine cancer. I trust him completely. I drive over an hour for my appointments with him. I'd drive 10. He's phenomenal!

Dr. Silasi is absolutely one of the finest surgeons I have ever met. I have been an operating room nurse for over 20 years and have worked with many physicians and have had multiple surgeries. I was very scared to go to a phycian I have never met or heard of before and that was immediately changed the minute I met Dr. Silasi. His bedside manor personality and most of all knowledge was something I've only encountered 4 times in my career. He is kind carrying and most of all as a whole patient.
