I saw Dr. Banaszek for a disc replacement surgery in my neck. He was very professional through the entire process and him and his office team were extremely helpful when I had to fight with my insurance to get the surgery approved. I had chronic pain in my neck for 20 years before I saw Dr. Banaszek, I had seen dozens of doctors throughout the years for this issue and Dr. Banaszek was the only 1 to actually come up with an answer and solution. I had been going through the same process' at every doctor and Dr. Banaszek was able to break that cycle. I am painfree for the first time in 20 years and am extremely thankful for finding Dr. Banaszek and I would recommend Dr. Banaszek to anyone who is looking for an amazing orthopedic surgeon.

Had a 1-level spinal fusion after years of increasing pain and discomfort in back and legs. Tried everything from PT to cortisone injections, but nothing worked. Finally relented and opted for the surgical route and am very glad I did. I'm ~6 months out and feel 100% better - no pain at all and fully back to all activities I was doing beforehand.Dr Banaczek was terrific to work with. Everything was explained up front and all questions answered. Surgery went smoothly and recovery was as expected. I would definitely recommend him and his team!

About a year ago, I slipped on the ice and broke my left tibia plateau and my knee was broken too. Dr. Daniel Banaszek has performed a two hours surgery and operated my Tibia and knee with implants. Surgery went really well and I started walking within three months. Dr. Banaszek continuously monitored my condition and kept helping me with all the things I needed. So glad that my surgery was performed by Dr. Banaszek. Excellent Doctor!!

I went in to see Dr Banaszek after another professional told me that my condition wasn't that bad and no one would ever operate on me. After seeing him, not only did he look at my records, but took his own xrays and determined that an operation was exactly what I needed and he was so right! He and his office made me feel so comfortable with what the procedure would be and what the recovery time would be like. I am so glad I found him and everyone at Newton Wellesley Hospital. Caring, confident and knowledgeable, and supremely skilled. I had a T11-12 laminectomy; went home the same day, pain gone after a couple days. He is your guy.

1997 I had 2 rods put in my back, at Children’s hospital. Awful experience! For years I was told I would never be able to have the rods removed because bone had grown around them. Well, they are deteriorated and the top came unhooked. Long story short, after a few doctors declined, a friend gave me 2 referrals, advising me to try Dr. B first. I was able to get an appmt within a couple weeks. Upon meeting him, I immediately felt at ease. He is so confident that it was comforting. There was a cancellation the following week and I had surgery. I had a piece of the rod cut in 1998 without any bone growth so I figured I was in for a lot of pain and long recovery. He assured me it would not be bad. I’ve been told that before. He was right! Minimal pain, 2 wk easy recovery! Visits with him were quick, but all questions were answered. He was also kind, understanding to my fears, not judgmental & above all, the best surgeon I have had (out of several). A genius!

Dr Banaszek is fantastic. He tells you like it is and takes his time explaining everything from diagnosis to recovery. He did a cervical discectomy for me in January and I have felt great. I was confident I was in good hands from start to finish. He is very friendly and has no problem answering questions related to your care. I would highly recommend him!

I broke my tibia, fibula and shattered my ankle in a skiing accident in December 2023. Dr. Banaszek and his business partner, Dr. Gardiner, took excellent care of me. They took the time to listen to me and understand my concerns. There was constant reassurance that I would heal properly and get back on track to where I was pre-accident (marathons, cycling, skiing, weightlifting). Dr. Banaszek and his team answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns throughout my injury and healing process (I ended up having to have a titanium rod and 5 screws inserted into my leg to allow for proper healing). I cannot thank them enough for their care and attention to detail.

After two years of getting shots in my neck spine area it was just a quick fix like a band aid. I was finally sent for an MRI and the doctor referred me right away to Dr Banaszek I met with him the next day and he said I needed a cervical laminectomy He answered any and all questions I had I went into surgery a few weeks later and I was so relaxed and confident His staff and everyone I came in contact with were absolutely wonderful. My recovery was hard on me but anytime I called his office I got immediate results. I’m happy to say it’ll be one year on May 3rd and I had my last appointment with Dr Banaszek today And I’m doing great. I truly don’t know what would have happened if I hadn’t seen him. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs his expertise Thank you Dr Banaszek!! You are the best!!

Dr. Banaszek had an nice manner leading up to and following my procedure. That included his ability to allay my fears and answer my many questions. He and his PA were extremely helpful and I would recommend him highly for any spinal surgical procedures. Both Dr. Banaszek and Sarah were so patient and seemed to understand that, although they operate on and work with many patients, treating the patient in front of them as the most important person at that time makes a real positive difference in healthcare, I really appreciated that aspect. I am sure others would as well.

Dr. Banaszek cared for me when I broke my leg very seriously. He did a great job and he proactively checked my knee and fixed that as well. Excellent work and helped me heal about as fast as you can for this break. He really knows his stuff and he is easy to talk to and listens to you.

Dr. Banaszek performed a spinal fusion on my lower spine. The surgery appears to have completely resolved my symptoms. Throughout the process, he was both professional and pleasant. He is very up-to-speed on current research and treatment methods. He explained things clearly, offered options, and answered questions. His staff as well as the team at Newton-Wellesley Hospital were equally helpful.

I saw Dr. Banaszek last April for chronic pain in my neck and shoulders. I assumed it was due to arthritis and years of side sleeping and thought cortisone injections would help ease the pain. I liked Dr. Banaszek immediately; he was warm and listened carefully. He recommended an MRI to assess things. A week later I saw him and was stunned by the news; I needed ACDF surgery in discs C4, C5, C6 & C7 ASAP. Not what I was expecting. Normally I'd get a second opinion for something this major, but I decided to trust my intuition and scheduled the surgery with Dr. B in July. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had lots of questions before the surgery and Dr B or his staff promptly answered my questions and helped ease my anxiety. The morning of the surgery he assured me he'd take good care of me and he did. It was a long recovery, but I have never regretted the decision I made and only wish I had seen Dr B sooner. He's been great.

Dr. Banaszek replaced my left shoulder after a bad spill walking on ice. This occurred over the Christmas and New Year's holiday week last year and he and Dr. Snyder fixed me up. I'm back to golfing and am very thankful for the care I received. Dr. Banaszek was an excellent communicator who took the time to answer any questions and he set expectations appropriately. I'm very thankful for the care and would recommend him highly.

He provided a thorough explanation as to what was wrong & how he would fix it. He was easy to talk to & very relatable. He was very confident & put me at ease.

I just had a fusion revision and fusion above that and day 2 have zero pain. Indealt with so much pain the past few years that I feel relieved already. Such a good surgeon. Haven't needed pain meds post operatives either. My surgery was on a Friday and be even checked in on Saturday. Highly recommend.
