Worst doctor I have ever encountered
My son came to the ER with a life threatening bilateral pulmonary embolism. Dr. Berger said he needed to be admitted but didn't like my son's attitude because he was in the midst of a panic attack so he was sending him home. I expressed concern about sending him home and he said he couldn't believe he was talking to an adult's mommy and my son should grow up and get over it. He seemed to be filled with disgust and derision instead of compassion and care for a person suffering not only a mental health crisis but an actual medical emergency. I have asked the hospital to add a note to my son's file to never allow Dr. Berger to treat him again should he ever need to return to Mt. Hood Medical Center.

GOD Complex. *SEE UPDATE*
UPDATE: My previous review was scathing (and accurate). But only a couple of months later I saw Dr. Berger again - and he was amazing. Truly wonderful. He really dug in and figured out what no one else could. Three tests later and he was right. One surgery referral and I'm on the track to wellnessPrevious review: I just left the ER AMA after confirming my issue WASN'T the worst-case scenario I thought it was. To be fair, that particular 'code' team thought it was an emergency, as well, and all other members of the team were rock stars. This guy? AWFUL. Rude, short, and snippy, and when it was determined to NOT be what we thought it was and I was ready to go home, be simply said 'no' and walked away. A nurse apologized for him, but said there was nothing she could do, only he could discharge me. He'd said no water (I was dying for water), no I couldn't leave (no reason why, no plan to do anything else). I was totally ignored for 90 minutes, so I yanked my IV, dressed, and walked out.

WOW
This was the worst Doctor I have ever seen. The unprofessionalism and rudeness was totally unacceptable. I have worked in the Healthcare system for over 27 years and have never experienced someone like him. He should take a class on Patient relations. I get that the ER is totally crazy now days, but the way he talked and cussed at us was an absolute shock.

Rude and definitely didn’t allow the time for us to express our concerns. Asked for a CT scan but was told he was fine. Not personable at all, bedside manner is kinda scary.
