I went to Dr Bohl for a second opinion, after having 2 failed big toe joint replacements just a few months apart, by another doctor. I was extremely frustrated, and he sat and listen and was able to come up with a new plan. l had full trust in him after I talked to him. Not only did he successfully save my toe, but he also fixed my toe, it was a success. He was like a miracle worker, after the surgery, I never encountered any pain. Which blew my mind! Dr. Bohl is an outstanding professional surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Bohl and his amazing staff. He is an excellent Doctor. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Thank you again Dr Bohl.

14 months since my surgery and I'm no better off than I was before surgery, even though I followed all post-op instructions exactly. I had a bursa removed, some of a heel spur removed and an Achilles gastrocnemius recession. Post-surgery imaging shows that the bursa has grown back and the heel spur part that was removed has also grown back. Why did I even bother with this surgery? There is no reduction in pain when walking. At my 7 mos. post-surgery appointment with Dr. Bohl, he said it all looked fine but I have no improvement in pain or mobility so I don't understand how that's fine. I'm just $17,000 poorer (my after-insurance costs). In addition, when I agreed to the surgery, I was told it would be at a hospital but at the last minute, was told it would take place at a run-down surgery center in Water Tower Place. Also his nursing team took 3 separate visits to get all my stitches out. Practice manager was rude: I had to call or email several times before she would get back to me.

Dr Bohl is absolutely outstanding. He listens to his patients, takes the time to understand the issue, has a calm and professional demeanor, takes the time to explain the process and has an excellent and responsive staff. He respected and adhered to our legal guardianship over our son who is special needs and treated him with the utmost respect. Our son is recuperating from his surgery beautifully and I will always recommend Dr Bohl to anyone seeking services from him. My husband and I have the utmost respect for his knowledge and expertise in his field of practice.
