Went in for painful ganglion cyst on wrist. He looked at wrist and said didn't need to do x-ray and I need surgery. I told him I wanted to get it aspirated and do not want surgery. He said aspiration won't do any good. He told me to think about it a while. I called his office a month later and spoke to an associate to get him a message that I do not want surgery I want it aspirated. His office called back and said he said he won't do aspiration will only do surgery. Well why did he tell me to think about it for a while when he already knew he was going to deny services if I chose aspiration. Very disrespectful to disregard my decision. It's my body my decision. The thing about it is I read the bad reviews ahead of time and I said I would give him a try anyway. This was a lesson learned to always believe the reviews.

This “doctor” isn’t worth the paper his name is printed on. I went to him due to severe pain in my thumbs and no ability to grip anything. He did not do X-rays citing that you make the story fit the picture. I appreciated that. He told me I was half way to surgery with torn UCL in both hands. His advice? Ice, take anti inflammatories, wear the braces and… don’t use my thumbs… he walked out of the office. Nothing about a follow up or anything.

Dr. Ebert was kind, gentle, knowledgeable and spent ample time with me. My carpal tunnel surgery was a huge success thanks to his skills and experience. I had absolutely no problems and I highly recommend him for any type of hand surgery.

Horrible
Get a second opinion. This guy has no idea what's going on. No knowledge or confidence whatsoever in his field. Thankfully I went to a qualified surgeon before settling for this guy.

Get a Second Opinion
I took my child there in regards to a fractured wrist and was told it could be treated with protein drinks and chicken. Fast forward 6 months and I will be scheduling surgery to repair my child's wrist , obviously with someone else. Had he put my child in a cast this all would have been avoided.

GREAT hand surgeon!
Dan has done surgery on both of my hands and now carpal tunnel on one. He's a nice guy and a great surgeon. My results are excellent; and he was a pleasure. BTW, read online about other doctor's carpal tunnel surgery results; pain for weeks, stiffness, physical therapy. My results with Dr Ebert: sore for two days; no pain at all by day 4, bandage off by day 4, completely healed by two weeks. No physical therapy needed. Normal grip strength by the second week. It doesn't get any better. BTW, I am a retired surgeon, am very critical of other doctors; consider most of them a**holes. Dan Ebert: excellent.

Not impressed with office staff or unclear billing practices for cash patients. When calling the office to ask questions the only answer they will give is to call a outsource line who only knows what they were told by the office to bill. It's a run around. The doctor himself does not listen to the patient's concerns. He talks himself in circles and wastes time he later tries to bill for. I was seeing the doctor for a double surgical follow up/second opinion. $330 later he had me ice my hand.
