Dr. Daniel Galat, MD

Dr. Galat is a quiet, gentle soul. His energy matched mine so when I had my first appointment, I knew this was the person to trust with my knee. His website indicated a minimally invasive, muscle saving, robotic procedure. I knew the precision would be spot on. 3 months out from surgery, I could not be happier. Two choices I made that made this process even easier: I opted in for the icing apparatus that could be added under my bandages, therefore easier to ice every few hours and I stayed in a hotel for 4 nights close to his office and the SurgiCenter, as I knew I'd need an x-ray within 3 days and a second visit with Dr. Galat within 4 days. I felt like I was on vacation at the Hilton close by; plus, they have wheelchair availability as well as the accessible larger rooms with handicap accessibility amenities that were much better than my home. For it being a surgery experience, I have to say it was a very good experience.

I underwent robotic left hip replacement, followed by a right and left reverse shoulder replacement. I am no longer in pain and have fully recovered from his amazing surgical talent.

I give Dr. Daniel Galat and his staff five stars. He is a great surgeon who truly cares about his patients. He performed a partial knee replacement on me five months ago, and Im feeling great. Now, Im ready to get back on the Pacific Crest Trail and backpack over 830 miles to complete it. Im 63 and an avid backpacker. Last year, I hiked 1,450 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail before an injury took me off the trail. In 2023, I hiked 1,100 miles. I also do a lot of mountain biking. I went to Dr. Galat for a second opinion because I was originally scheduled for a full knee replacement with another surgeon. Dr. Galat advised that, given my activity level, a partial knee replacement would feel more natural and allow for a faster recovery. I am so happy he performed my surgery—I highly recommend him! Just do your exercises I have a full range of motion and I am happy. He improved my quality of life!

Dr. Galet replaced my hip in 2022 and did a partial knee replacement in 2024. Dr. Galet and staff are 100% in everything they do - diagnosis, communications, follow-up, and of course technique. They're the best.

Dr. Galat and his staff are top-notch. The staff is very nice and makes you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. I underwent total knee replacement surgeries on both knees in February 2024. Despite others thinking it was a risky decision, Dr. Galat assured me that everything would be fine. Following the second surgery, I experienced a lot of pain, but I healed quickly and regained full range of motion in both knees within 6 weeks of physical therapy. Kurt, who assists Dr. Galat in surgeries, did an excellent job in closing up. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I understand that it's a long healing process and may take up to a year to feel completely back to normal. I wouldn't trust anyone else with knee surgery except for Dr. Galat and Kurt, as they are true professionals in their field.

Dr Galat replaced my L hip 2.5 years ago and 3 months ago replaced my R hip. I could not be happier with the results! Phenomenal surgeon and great bedside manner. I found Dr. Galat to be a compassionate, expert in the field of hip replacement, even using robotics to assist in ensuring a better outcome. He took the necessary time to answer all of my questions and explained the procedure and required recovery for the best outcome. I have been so pleased that I am likely to schedule my other hip replacement with him in the near future.

Dr. Galat and his team were great! I was in pain and unable to enjoy regular activities. The partial knee replacement took care of the pain and discomfort, the recovery was smooth, and I was back to my old self within six weeks. I couldn’t give a stronger endorsement.

I had a hip replacement. The recovery period was smooth and my hip works perfectly. It was about as good as any big surgery could get. Dr. Galat treated me with dignity and respect. His work was excellent.

In January, I had a Robotic-assisted, Total Knee Replacement by Dr. Daniel Galat and Kurt Moulton, PA. The procedure was explained in detail to me so I knew exactly what to expect. I am now 6 weeks out and could not be happier that I chose Dr. Galat and his team. My Range of Motion is at 128 and my scar is barely visible, thank you, Kurt! They do not use staples or stitches that have to be removed. All of the Renovation Orthopaedics staff are extremely helpful and responsive. Thank you, Dr. Galat and Kurt. Dr. Daniel Galat is a very knowledgeable and personable surgeon. My case was complex and we went through all the diagnostic procedures including a diagnostic marcaine injection into my right hip joint prior to my hip replacement. His surgery was able to correct my leg length discrepancy and made my hip pain-free. Very manageable post-operative pain and a quick recovery. Everyone in Dr. Galat’s practice treated me as if I was there number one priority. Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The procedure was done correctly and I had minimal pain or discomfort. My recovery was quick. I was walking the same day and back to every day activities in the first week. I to physical therapy and was done in four weeks.

Impressive from the first contact and through the postoperative consultation! Dr. Galat focused on me as though I was the only patient he had seen, or would see all day. He is very concise and yet conversational so he explains the surgery fully while keeping the patient in mind. Dr. Galat states that he does a 'blue print' of anticipation the surgery to be fully prepared. The office staff deserves to be commended as well. They are always cheerful, upbeat and knowledgeable.

There's not a finer surgeon and overall physician than Dr. Daniel Galat. As a fluke, my leg became inflamed and very painful just days prior to my wife's scheduled knee replacement surgery. At her pre-appointment he looked at my knee and sent me immediately to the hospital, even though the ER on Shea had cleared me saying nothing was wrong. Due to Dr. Galat's superior knowledge, the new hospital tests proved his suspicion of multiple serious infections around my knee. The source of the infections was unknown, putting me on high alert, hospitalized, and quickly into surgery to clean out the infection. Days after, I was wisely advised to have a much needed knee replacement and endure the long healing process of infections and replacement simultaneously, rather than be laid up for half a year. I am on the road to healing, off antibiotics, and extremely grateful for Dr. Galat, his PA Kurt, and all the fine staff, for the expert care I have received. He may have very well saved my life!
