Carpal tunnel release and trigger finger release
I highly recommend Dr. Gittings! He did carpal tunnel release (open release) and a trigger finger release on each hand six weeks apart. I am on oxygen and live 2-4 hours away depending on traffic. He and his staff took care of me and my special needs with such care, patience and kindness. I was fully awake for surgery with local anesthesia. I know everyone heals differently, but I feel that the quality of the surgeries was the reason why I healed so well and had most of my strength back two weeks after surgery. Burning and tingling in hands and up the arm are gone and the trigger fingers do not click or get stuck anymore. All surgeries were successful! :)

Smashed pinky
Was referred to Dr. Gittings by hoag urgent care. I smashed my pinky finger. He is the most thorough physician I’ve ever come in contact with and I’ve seen to many dr.’s. He got my finger all fixed up and now I wait for a new nail to grow back! Thanks Dr. Gittings

Terrific Doctor
My son saw Dr. Gittings for a thumb fracture. He was very professional, respectful, explained all our options, and answered all our questions so we could decide what would be the best route for him. Decided to use brace with splint before possible surgery if absolutely necessary. Went in for a follow up visit. X-ray was taken again and his thumb appears to be healing properly. Recommend he continue with brace and start therapy for another six weeks. Will have another follow up visit to see his progress. Thank you Dr. Gittings! Appreciate your professionalism, knowledge, and pleasant demeanor.

Elbow fracture
I tripped and shattered my elbow. A good friend recommended Dr. Gittings and I was able to secure an appointment fairly rapidly. We discussed the break and he said that if after reviewing the CT scan he thought the surgery was too complicated, he would refer me to a trauma doctor at UCI. I appreciated his honesty and humility. After the scan, he consulted with another colleague in the practice and determined that the two of them could handle the surgery. It went well and now I have to do my part in doing the PT that will hopefully get me most of the way back to normal. The practice in Orange has an in house PT with the therapists having a direct line to the physicians so care continues seamlessly. I highly recommend him.

I was at his office for trigger finger issue on my right hand. His nurse briefly spoke to about the issue, radiograph was taken and Dr. Gittings explained the cause and treatment options, sent me brochure, finger brace home for the option I chose. Then schedule a follow up appt. or come in if pain persist. He is a very friendly and engaging. I will strongly recommend him to anyone with same pain issues.

Surgery on Dupuytren's contracture recurrence.
Thankfully he was willing to do surgery on a condition that other surgeons did not want to touch. I knew it wouldn't be perfect but am satisfied that he did the best possible work under the circumstances. He explained the options and let me decide which is what you would want.

Amazing Doctor!!
I had unexpectedly broken my wrist in two places and was referred to Dr Gittings for further care. He was soo nice from the first visit and very knowledgeable on what my next step in healing would be. I had surgery a week later and his bed side manner is soo nice and professional. I wasn’t nervous at all because I felt comfortable with Dr Gittings fixing my wrist. Now, three months later and I am almost back to normal. Dr Gittings is great and would recommend him to anyone with hand issues.

mallet finger mistreatment
Three visits: Feb. 15, 2023, March 20, 2023, May 10, 2023. I formed a mallet finger, read Dr. Gitting's reviews, went to him. He gave me a homemade split with bandage that wouldn't stay on my finger. I went back a second time, more splints. Final time he said often mallet fingers don't heal but if I wanted he could insert a pin surgically to mostly straighten the finger but it would take extensive time to heal. I hesitated and he said I could come back any time unless I wanted to live with this crooked finger. So I waited until Feb. 26, 2024. I went to another hand surgeon yesterday because I wasn't sure if I wanted to live with this finger at a 90degree angle. The surgeon took an x-ray and said it was too late to do anything except surgery with an inserted splint. He said if I had had the customized splint the first time in Feb.2023, something would certainly have been done but now my choice is to live with a finger tip that droops, the most severe he had ever seen.

Good Luck with getting an appointment
Scheduled and appointment and it was cancelled without notifying us. Then they rescheduled for a later date without consulting us. If you have a fracture you need to get it fixed right a way. We found another doctor. If they can't keep appointments for an exam then they probably can't keep them in you need surgery.
