2nd back surgery after 10 years.
I was not hopeful that this 2nd surgery with a different doctor would help...but it did. My quality of life was very bad and Dr Hirt made me whole again.

Great surgeon
Dr hirt and his team took care of me.It is a busy department. Getting an initial appointment was tough. Once i saw Dr Hirt I felt like I found the right guy.As a whole my Kaiser experience was fantastic. My surgery went great and my stay at the hospital was very good. I was very well taken care of. Dr Hirt is an expert level neurosurgeon he is not EGO driven. He is thorough. He is conservative. He took the time needed to make my issues very clear. There were not any non surgical options.I had to wait a month for surgery.

After seeing two other doctors, I was lead to Dr. Hirt. He was very proactive at the first phone call visit saying he wanted new MRI, Xray etc. As promised, he scheduled my back surgery for early Aug. At the in person visit before surgery he explained everything very clearly. He did a great job on the surgery! I have no leg pains!!!! I am healing well and it is all thanks to this great doctor! I would recommend him to anyone needing back surgery at Kaiser.
