I HAD CARPA TUNNEL SURGERY NOW I AM AN AMPUTEE
Dr. Holtz's office is a nightmare. My visit, meant for a simple wrist examination, turned into a nightmare orchestrated by his Physician's Assistant, Bobby. Not only did he dismiss my concerns about surgery, but he also misled me about the procedure, leaving me with scars far worse than promised. After surgery, my hand was a mess, with nerve damage and claw-like deformities. Despite my pleas to see Dr. Holtz, I was ignored until it was too late. More surgeries followed, each one adding to my pain and suffering. Now, I'm left with paralysis, chronic pain, and the devastating reality of being an amputee. Dr. Holtz and his office are completely negligent, leaving me to suffer the consequences of their incompetence. Avoid at all costs.

Mixed feelings…
This is the cockiest Dr I’ve ever met. I only saw him twice and both times he bragged to the point of nausea. It’s hard to describe except his whole self absorbed demeanor was a real put off and I never should have let him do my trigger finger and carpal tunnel release surgery, both hands, 4 incisions. I’ve lost some form of full range of motion in each hand, and recently have had the symptoms return to one hand. And his PA, Bobby Treadwell lacks all kinds of empathy but plenty of inability to listen. As far as the center as a whole, there’s an initial follow up, and 1 more visit a couple weeks later or so. And that’s it. No physical therapy to speak of, very little instruction on prep, and virtually none on aftercare. - Go somewhere else. Many doctors are way more professional, and care enough about their patients to put some time and effort into making your experience as easy and carefree as possible. This place and doctor you’re treated basically like cattle. I’d suggest Emory.

Jan Whorton Former R.N.- Ortho. Also
Dr. Daniel Holtz did excellent surgery repairing a mucous cyst, on my middle finger 4 years ago. Open small hole there was draining synovial/ joint fluid. He sealed this shut also. 100% cured. 2 years later, unrelated osteoarthritis began developing on one finger. Dr. Holtz treated this well also; even as it spread to all 10 fingers in one year, with bone spurs om all 8 fingers- not on thumbs. Both thumbs have bone rubbing bone ostearthritis. He gave me thumb splints to immobilize my thumbs. He tried steroid pills and injections in my thumbs. Was glad to refer me to O.T.; when steroids didn't help much, or for long.Dr. Holtz is very supportive and respectful. He listens to me, as well. That degree in Psychology, Undergraduate; served him well, but his empathy, and caring is from his heart. His skill is from excellent training. 10 stars plus from me! Dr. Holtz' Nurse, and office staff is fantastic too.( I'd tried a Rheumatologist; and he had 5* ratings, but was a nightmare!

How Doctors Should Be
The front desk and nursing staff are friendly, professional, and kind. The practice and facility are very well organized and efficient. Dr. Holtz explained everything I needed to know thoroughly and with compassion and respect for me. I trust his diagnosis and treatment plan. He listened to me and addressed every question. Though not a moment was wasted with him or the staff, I never felt rushed.

After a near death accident, due to Dr. Holtz’ expertise, he was able to repair my hand and only amputate one finger. I sincerely appreciate his attentive and superior care during the long process of recovery. He and his staff were awesome.

Dr. Holtz was acting very uninterested while attempting to explain my X-rays. He had no knowledge of what he was doing. This visit was a waste of my time.

I wish I would have never met the guy. I initially thought Dr. Holtz was going to be the best choice for my Dupuytren's release surgery, but he botched it so bad that my hand will never be the same. He shows up late for the surgery....looking like he just woke up from a fun night out, unshowered and un shaven. I only saw his lousy PA twice post op, and when I demanded to see Holtz he was very standoffish and very rude. I am now having more issues with my hand again that will require additional surgery. He should have his license revoked.

I had seen a lot a good reviews about this Doctor but, every time we go to the appointment, he is annoyed because my father cannot interpret himself for that reason. I go with him to help him I see that he is a good doctor. But please be more compassionate to your patients who cannot speak your language.

I had hand surgery, performed by Dr. Holtz, on trigger finger. My surgery was one year ago and I cannot lay my hand perfectly flat. I am so upset about my surgery. I went to hand therapy but to no avail.
