Dr. Daniel Knapp, DO

In early February came a diagnosis of HCC and a prognosis of 6 to 12 months. CSM put my case before their tumor review board. It was determined that surgery was not an option but radiation treatment was. We met with Dr. Knapp, interventional radiologist, who said the best course of action was something called Y90 and bland embolization. That it would "buy" more time. Within several months, my tumor had shrunk to a size that made surgery possible. Final pathology report indicates Dr. Knapp's treatment eradicated cancer in its entirety. We are now looking in terms of years rather than months. The thanks and gratitude we give to Dr. Knapp cannot be measured. A special shout out to Deb, one of Dr. Knapp's nurses. She is awesome.
