Dr. Maestas take time to listen attentively to his patient. He has great bedside manner. Very explanatory about health conditions and defines medical terms & medication pros & cons and why he wants t o start a medication. He check joint movements, suggest exercise, weight loss and nutrition, chat are suggesting over all health to drink water, walk, watertherapy and chiropractic care. Views notes from my other doctors with me and explaining their intentions in helping me get healthier and why they have given me xrays, reads the results and tell me what I can do to help my health get better. Dr. Maestas is thorough and I trust my health with him.

Dr M is one of the best! He is super smart, caring and thorough! Now that he is at Barnes he is out of network but worth the extra cost!

Absolutely the best!
I am a nurse and it is hard to find a Dr who genuinely cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen and review all your needs. He addresses you whole body and explains things in layman's term. He is not in my network but he is well worth the increase copays! Thank you for always being there for us!Ps he is my parents, husband and grown childrens dr also!

Read great reviews online and was glad to see he is accepting new patients. Went for first visit today and he was very nice and didn't rush me at all. Staff was great. He listened to what my thoughts were and was excellent to work with. I've changed my PCP and will go to him from now on.

Outstanding But Need List of References
Outstanding primary care for decades. He recently left Mercy but BJC does not take my insurance. Would love for him or nurses to refer or list any doctors with similar philosophy and style but neither old or new office will ask him or nurses so here I am left with the internet looking for a good match for something so vitally important as a primary care physician.

When I self diagnose I’m always wrong
Whenever I think I know what I’ve got and go to the doctor to fix it, I’m always wrong. Dr Maestas is always refreshing and positive, never judgmental or condescending

Patient of Dr Maesta
Dr maestas was the best doctor you can have. He listens to every you have to say. He don’t rush you like some doctors do. I wish we knew where he went. We miss him.
