Dr. Moon is extremely professional and caring. My som’s surgery and recovery were both excellent.

Dr. Moon is simply the best surgeon ever
Dr. Moon saw me for my 12-month follow-up for total ankle replacement surgery. It was a technically demanding surgery (7 hours) with several additional problems that had to be addressed beyond a conventional ankle replacement. The surgery was highly successful. I am now fully functional and with no residual pain. Dr. Moon reviewed the films of my ankle and clearly (and patiently) explained the status of the rebuilt ankle. I came out of the appointment with a full understanding of my status, with all my questions answered, and reassured about the future regarding the health and function of the ankle moving forward.

Life changing surgery
After 10 years of walking with pain and shots (painful) I can enjoy walking again. Dr Moon made normal life possible. In a way I am sorry I'll not see him again. Beside being a wonderful surgeon he is understanding, patient and answers all the questions. And this also applies to his team. Congratulations, Nick on number 4, what a beautiful family.

Happy Patient
I saw Dr. Moon twice, first for the initial diagnosis and then for a follow up visit afterwards. I was extremely pleased to get the first appointment so quickly as I needed help fast. Dr. Moon has diagnosed me and got me the help I needed right before my trip to Europe. I was out of pain and able to do all the sight seeing I planned on. He has a very straight forward and clear way of explaining things and coming up with the plan to help the condition to improve as quickly as possible. I was very thankful I came to see him!

Dr Moon gave me my life back!
I sustained an ankle fracture in an ice climbing accident in 2015. The fracture was initially reduced and plated by an orthopedic surgeon in Colorado Springs. Fast forward a couple of years and significant pain developed reducing the activities in which I could participate A scope identified an osteochondral lesion of the talar dome to include the dome's shoulder. Was told "you will want me to fuse that ankle" Sought alternate advice and surgery in Boulder in 2019 utilizing Biocartilage. It was a marginal improvement. in 2021 I sought a consult with Dr Moon who offered an experimental procedure he's pioneered to rebuild my talar dome including the shoulder of the dome impacted by the lesion. With the extent of my lesion, I will likely never be "perfect" but I can do many things I love with little or no pain. I've returned to things like multi day backpacking trips into the Grand Canyon, mountain climbing as well as rock/ice climbing. Dr Moon, in many respects, gave me my life back.

Never again!
Absolutely the worst care, 3 surgeries, infections, doctor out of country with no physician back up. Unbelieveable. And because CU Sports Medicine is quasi government, you have limited to know legal recourse!

My husband had an accident and broke the neck of his femur. He was transported to Boulder Comunity Hospital per our request. Dr, Moon was the doctor on call. Surgery was performed and my husband did well. Dr, Moon was kind and provided me with all the information I needed as he met with me before and after the surgery. We are so thankful for Dr. Moon and we highly recommed Dr. Moon. I am a retired RN and feel so grateful for Dr. Moon, the Surgical and entire staff at BCH for all the kindness we have had during this difficult time. Thank you Dr. Moon.
