Do not see this doctor
I will never return to this doctor! He left me waiting over an hour and, as I was leaving without being seen, he showed his arrogance. He didn’t listen to the answers I was giving him, asking the same questions over and over, was condescending and dismissive. I will find someone else to review my issues with!

Dr. Ng has saved my life more then once. Highly skilled and simply a great person who truly cares about his patients. He is very thorough in everything he does and spends the time necessary to provide you the detail you need to know before your surgical procedure and to answer any questions. He is certainly one of the tops in his field and I would recommend him to anyone. Cancer is no fun, but being in the proper hands and knowing that you are reduces your stress and allows you to focus on what you have to do. Thank you Dr. Ng for all you have done for me. There aren’t any words to truly express how grateful I am for you.

A few weeks ago, Dr. Ng performed a colon resection surgery on me, following the discovery of a cancerous tumor during a routine colonoscopy. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Ng perform the surgery. He was outstanding in his overall care, pre and post operation, and my surgical outcome was great. He is a brilliant and highly skilled surgeon, I feel fortunate to have been one of his patients.

I was diagnosed with early stage colon cancer and met with Dr. Ng, after being referred to him by the endocrinologist at Hoag who performed my endoscopy and colonoscopy. I was very impressed with Dr. Ng's professionalism, job knowledge, compassion and the time he took to explain my options. After our initial meeting, and a couple of followup phone calls with Dr Ng. It didn't take any further convincing for me to make up my mind to proceed with the procedure Dr. Ng was recommending. I'm scheduled for the surgery in a couple of weeks, and plan to post the outcome of my procedure shortly afterwards - which I'm confident will be positive, so stay tuned!

After my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer I started to research surgeons that were available to us through our insurance. I wasn't happy with the surgeon he was referred and after a long and difficult process we found, and were approved to see, Dr. Ng. When we went to the first appointment with him it was the first time my husband and I felt like we could breathe since the diagnosis. He took a lot of time with us and really answered every question in addition to all the questions we didn't know to ask. He was so professional, confident, warm, knowledgeable - and we really felt that. Two years later, my husband is doing great and Dr. Ng is as attentive as ever. I'm so glad we did the extra work of researching surgeons for ourselves. He is an exceptional doctor!

Terrible doctor. He is only out to make money and is very pushy to do unnecessary invasive surgery.I was told it will be just a consulting but he also did an unnecessary. swipe which I got then charged for of course.Later I noticed there was some blood on the sheet that's on the exam bed. However it was not from me!!since it was not where the exam happens but on the opposite side where I had my head!! yikes. I'll also report this practice to the Health Agency.Do yourself a favor.I'd give 0.

Dr, Ng saved my life! I was admitted to Hoag, Newport Beach, with three diverticulitis abcesses, very ill. His skill and knowledge saved my life. He is extremely thorough, and explains why he's operating & where the troubled area is. He has a dedicated nurse, Debbie who is outstanding & always follows up. Dr Ng is brilliant! Both Dr Ng & Debbie have an exemplary work ethic. I have complete faith in his skills and am.scheduled for surgery. Wanda Ccavaliere

I feel so blessed to have been referred to Dr. Ng. He is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, takes the time to explain the procedure and draws pictures. And he will do it over and over again if you have any questions. He always returns your call, even if it is at 8:00 in the evening. Everyone at Hoag hospital raved about what a great Dr he is, how well he takes care of his patients and he will not release a patient if he feels they are not ready. I wish more doctors were caring like him.
