Two Cataract Surgeries - Perfect
Dr. Petashnik performed both cataract surgeries nine years apart. The second surgery used the new “Mono Vision” arrangement of lenses which worked out perfectly.

Cataract Replacement Genius
In addition to annual eye examinations with this physician, both of my eyes needed cataract surgery. Dr. Petashnick did a fantastic job with the surgery including full explanations ahead of time and caring follow-up. Highly recommend.

Dr. Petashnick deserves my 5 Star Rating! his skill, professionalism, cleanliness, is out standing. I owe him a great gratitude for treating my painful corneal erosion on Christmas night. I have never had such an experience from a medical professional ever - he saw me 20 minutes after my late night call for help. I cannot find the words to thank him for his service that evening. Though he was not my regular Ophthalmologist, you can be sure I will make efforts to find care from Dr. Dan again! Highly recommended!

I was hesitant to keep this appointment due to my anxiety from last year due to poor infection control practices. I saw NO hand washing and eye drop vials are used on multiple patients. But this time I was determined to speak up, even though last year I was met with resistance (like my questions were beneath him). Not a problem!! After waiting more than 60 minutes in the outside waiting room, I needed to use the restroom, which was filthy. Yeah..I'm all set.

The outcome of my cataract surgery was terrible. I was left with so many floaters in my left eye I cancelled my right eye surgery. I was never told of the floater risk. Dr told me on my post op visit I would just have to live with them. I was also was never given the option of getting higher quality lens. I'm seeing another doctor.

Professionalism! FIVE STARS! I would recommend nobody else to have your cataracts removed. But, I do have to say that his Asst. Lou is someone everyone says is wonderful, amazing and special! All I can say is that I need to do a complete investigation of this lady, to try and determine why so many people...are so damn right! Don't go elsewhere. See Dr. Petashnick..so you can SEE!
