Dr. Daniel Peterson, MD

While I have heard that Dr. Peterson is brilliant in his knowledge of internal medicine, his utter lack of concern, care and organization is so horrific it would be comical if it was not a danger to patients. He was the family doctor for years in Incline - it seems his practice and his abilities have gone downhill. We have driven to Incline from Reno three times now for our mother who is in her eighties and was told by Dr. Peterson she needed iron infusions -and that she needed them asap. He then cancelled the first appointment and his nurse was uncomfortable performing the infusion without him. They also 'forgot' to communicate that we were responsible to pick up the transfusion packet so the second appointment had to be rescheduled. The staff is so unorganized they barely answer their phone and never return a phone call. Currently in the process of convincing our mother to switch doctors - she doesn't want to start over with someone new and go through the tests again. Terrible.

We have been with Dr. Peterson for around a year and one half. He has a totally incompetent staff and only follows up with his promises, after being reminded numerous times. He never touches patient, only orders test, blood work and referrals that he almost never completes. He needs to retire. Run, don’t walk to get away from this horrible practice. The whole place is beyond weird!

Well mannered, gives his full attention, excellent in communication with his patients and does not give up on his patients difficult medical conditions. You know he cares about the patients he treats and you can trust him!
