Simple Robotic Prostectomy
In October 2021 I had prostate surgery performed by Dr. Roeter and his staff; along with a "robot." It literally saved my life, as I had moved into kidney failure. Prior to and after surgery he was professional and courteous, answering questions and performing necessary procedures (like a biopsy - I had no cancer). His co- doctors and staff and the St. Joseph Hospital staff were tops. A year and a half after the surgery, even though missing a part, everything is working just fine.

Dr. Roeter is the worst medical professional that I have ever encountered. I called his office in extreme pain a couple of weeks after a kidney cancer treatment that he recommended but did not perform, thinking he was my doctor and would care since this was not the usual recovery for the procedure. Instead, he waited a week to return my call, wanted to give me more opioid pain medication instead of listening to me, and cruelly dismissed my concerns and criticized me for thinking I should be seen by a doctor.

Was not impressed. Seemed very rigid and not completely open about options and only would follow one method. Computerized system made me feel like a number instead of a person! Rigid protocols with now room for variations

My husband met Dr. Roeter for prostate issues. He was kind, soft spoken, quick to answer questions. A biopsy was performed at which time cancer was discovered. Dr. Roeter personally called our home to speak with my husband. We met with him to discuss options. He gave us the facts and told us what he felt was our best option. Surgery. We are now two weeks post op. We saw Dr. Roeter today. My husband is cancer free, feels amazing. He owes this success to this physician.

In March 2017 Dr. Roeter performed a robotically-assisted radical nephrectomy on me to remove a cancerous kidney. He carefully listened to my concerns and responded to them (without my having to express them more than once). He is kind and personable, professional, and was very attentive to my needs as his patient. My wife and I both feel he is an exceptional physician and would give him the highest recommendation to family and friends or anyone needing health care in his area of expertise.
