Trusting this dr tremendously
I worked for Dr Schafer for 4 years, I have to say I’ve seen the worst of the worst, and he is a kind, caring and very knowledgeable dr.. I trusted him with my children at the time, especially when my oldest daughter had an eye accident I was so worried about her vision, but he took good care of her and to this day her eyesight is fine..

I would give the experience as negative one star and if you want to waste 8 months of your life then maybe it's ok. You have to wait for months to get an appointment. Went in for the appt. and consultation with Dr. Schaefer. They did a vision test and Dr Schaefer took pictures. They scheduled another vision test two weeks later which I went to. I waited for about a month and half and called the office to hear if they had heard from my insurance and they stated my insurance had requested additional information from the office. I also received the same confirmation letter from my insurance carrier. So I waited and waited, and then I received a letter from my insurance carrier that they received no additional information from Dr. Schaefer's office and they have closed the request and if I wanted to continue with Dr. Schaefer's office I would need to wait 6 months to start the process over again. So now I have to start all over again with another eye doctor and pay out of pocket.

The Doctor has a rude staff person working for him. She is verbally aggressive with patients sometimes. The receptionist is friendly. The wait time is too long. The Dr. Is okay, but can't he afford to hire better staff? I think the woman's name is Sheeri and she needs to check her attitude.

The doctor has no consideration for patients time the last time I waited over 1 1\2 hours to see the Dr and this time almost 2 hours only to spend maybe 10 minutes with the Dr. They need to stop over booking time slots! You let the staff know how you feel and it falls on deaf ears!
