Dr. Daniel Short, MD

Dr Short does not do a full thyroid check at each visit. He is insulting, disrespectful and he doesn’t listen to what your symptoms are. He goes strictly by blood tests. I told him I was getting worse and he ignored me. One time he told me to see my family doctor for a symptom I was having! He said to me at one time,”Armour thyroid is for pigs!”, it was the first thing out of his mouth as he enter the room, no Hello. He kept lowering my dose and I was getting more sick. I have never had such a bad experience with a doctor. I cried because he wasn’t listening to what I was telling him how I feel. I fired him.

Dr. Short was condescending, insulting, and uninterested in my questions and concerns. He did not trust my experience with a condition I’ve had for nearly 2 decades.

I am horrified at the lack of approach, knowledge, and ethics this physician exhibited. This physician disregarded both subjective and objective information over the course of 6 months. Thyroid nodule is compressing my trachea and esophagus, but he never addressed this. I had 2 biopsies, benign. 2 of 3 nodules have doubled in size in 3 months and he wanted ANOTHER biopsy. 2nd opinion and I am having my thyroid removed, which should have been done months ago per my surgeon.
