If I could give this doctor a negative 1,000 rating, I would! I took my son to Akron Children's Urgent Care in Montrose on Saturday. We had been to the doctor earlier in the day for complications from a virus. My son's breathing seemed a bit labored. We weren't sure if we should go to the emergency room or just use the inhaler more. There was no wait so the lack of care had absolutely nothing to do with this doctor being busy. (Dr. Tabaka) The nurse went to talk to him and he said to go to the emergency room. I asked if he could at least examine my son. He would have been qualified to tell us to use his inhaler right then so he would be in a better position to travel to the emergency room. She went and came back only to say he said to go to the emergency room. Why is this man still employed by Akron Children's if he doesn't want to help children? I was and am so disgusted. I will be calling Akron Children's to provide feedback. This man's license should be revoked!

AVOID! At all costs.
Does not provide any medical care. No tests were done, no diagnosis. Nothing preliminary was ruled out. Went in the urgent Care and came out without any help, whatsoever. Minor symptoms were not treated either. Why would a dr not come out of his room to see the patient?? He won’t even see the patient. Based on nurse notes, he makes decisions. Does not even see the patient . Left the patient in pain. I would not wish this treatment for my enemy let alone my family. His license needs to be canceled.

I went to the urgent care with concerns about white vesicles in my daughters mouth and cold symptoms. He listened to her heart and lungs and ruled out an ear infection. When I asked him to look at my daughters mouth he did not and rationalized it as being a symptom from the upper respiratory infection and told me to relieve this by using a humidifier. Unbeknownst to him I am a nurse. I went and got a second opinion at Akron Children's hospital and she was diagnosed with having thrust and prescribed an anti-fungal. Definitely get a second opinion if you see this doctor!
