Dr. Daniel Zoeteman, MD

Easily the worst experience I’ve had with a doctor. I’ll try to summarize:- the front desk will insist on charging you $100 for a visit even though your copay is $25 (which can be verified). I’ve never had this happen. - the Dr spent close to 10 minutes lecturing me about eating less and exercising more without asking or looking at my history (I’d lost 180 lbs in the last 2 years. I did not need a lecture. )- I asked if he could send a prescription to a compound pharmacy (it would save me hundreds of dollars a month), and he said he won’t because he doesn’t trust them. - when I called a couple months later to get a (non-controlled) medication refilled, they said I have to come in for an office visit even though I had recently been seen and had a visit scheduled for the next week. - took a week to correct a prescription that he sent in incorrectly, even though I was out and called and emailed.

I’ve seen this Dr 3 times. No patient portal. He repeatedly told me how busy he was- dismissive. Expect product sales. If you have a complex or serious health condition, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

Dr. Zoeteman is an independent physician. I love that he is not affiliated with a group organization. I never feel like I've gotten lost in the crowd or shuffled from one group doctor to another. I am able to make an appointment easily and can get in to see him within a day or two. AND I know I will be seeing him. He is caring and knowledgeable. During my annual physical, he looked at my blood work and discussed it with me. He didn't jump at writing prescriptions, but recommended everyday modifications for improvements. In addition to my high recommendation of Dr. Zoeteman, I'd also like to mention that his staff is very helpful and personable.

Entire staff is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Dr. Zoetemam takes as much time as needed with his patients and really listens to their concerns and issues. He is very compassionate and caring, qualities that are severely lacking in most doctors. Most appointments can be obtained as needed no waiting 3 or 6 weeks!

The office staff lacks kindness and professionalism. I needed help and I've never felt so hurt and worse off when trying this office. After multiple visits and a call into the office, the staff was extremely rude and condensending. 90 second check ups for large payments with minimal care put into questions about my health. You may as well just be a number. Nobody 'enjoys' going to the doctor and I always thought they were there to help, not hurt. I would never recommend going to this office. Pay more elsewhere for service that cares and a staff that shows it.

I paid a $150 Deductible 1st visit and a $30 deductible next visit. Months later they are trying to charge me almost $300 extra. Be careful using this place because it looks like it's normal to get extra chargers months after service. Seems like an easy way to get money. What ever you do, do not sign credit card paperwork to keep number on file because you definitely will get extra charges from them months later.

I can confirm to what has already been written in the large number of poor reviews posted on this site. There are much better practices to choose from.

I copied these 'Reviews Summaries' and agree with them completely. His nurse likes to poke multiple times for a blood draw. Its hard to understand her on the phone. Called Friday to inform me she made an appt for Tuesday and I would be billed if I don't show/cancel??? HORRIBLE! AT EVERYTHING! Beware! Unnecessary appt! Nurse is hurting his practice. Amazing Dr. Have been seeing for a really long time. Always addressed my concerns while being professional, compassionate and prompt. Will continue to bring my friends and family to you because I want them in the best hands.

I was seen there for several years, Twice a year on the recommendation of the doctor. I have no underlying health conditions other than the fact that I’m fat. Every six months I get blood work and the doctor asked me how I’m doing and I basically say I’m fine. Well this last visit I told him I was having heartburn but I was managing it on my own and he charged me $100 for an office visit. Under the ACA, preventative care is free. And I had it out with his doctors billing office staff as the office manager constantly talked over me, and when I finally got mad at her and told her to let me finish talking, she essentially hung up on me. This was extremely unprofessional and now they are discharging me for “being combative“. Good riddance. I will find a doctor that actually will listen and not have questionable billing and business practices.

BEWARE NEW PATIENTS!! Place is very small and dirty. They require all patients to leave a open credit card on file that they can charge at their own discretion. Even if you have insurance! When I told the staff I wasn’t comfortable leaving a open credit card then we were refused medical attention.

Saw this Dr for a few years (as needed) after previous Dr passed away and patients were transferred. Multiple times received calls for 'Follow Up Appt. After I questioned "Why" and unwillingness to participate in unnecessary "Followups" I received a letter releasing me from the practice for "non-compliance". FINE - I would rather have a doctor that cares more about patients wellness than $$$

Dr Zoeteman is a great doctor, but he has a staff that is hurting his practice. The office staff are cold, giving off an awkward impression of NOT wanting to help. They don't even say hello. Additionally, getting refills approved through his staff can take up to 7 days. They all act like they are doing me a big favor.

While the doctor is fine, the front office admin staff is trash. I've been diagnosed by the VA with a chronic condition and prescribed a specific medication for over a decade. Dr. Zoeteman wrote for me a year long prescription for the needed medication. After a year and I had zero refills left I had to call the office to find out how to get the medication. The front office answered and advised that I would need a doctor visit in order to get the prescription. A medication that is a stronger version of OTC meds that I've taken since 2007 for a condition diagnosed as chronic by the regional VA. I was not given any option to schedule and appointment after being advised my prescription/refills would be reauthorized, just that I would receive no meds without a visit. I received a letter in the mail today advising that I will no longer be seen due to "non-compliance". Your front office staff is costing your business revenue Dr. Zoeteman.

Dr Zoeteman has been my family Doctor and is one of a kind in that he really cares about his patients,he listens to your concerns and takes the needed time to evaluate what is in your best interests.You will be very impressed with both the Doctor and his staff.

I have never had a doc give the time and concern on a first visit that Dr. Zoeteman gave. He really is a "good doctor". Looking forward to getting to the bottom of my issues so I can see less of him. All the support staff were professional, quick and compassionate.

Dr. Zoeteman is the BEST doctor I have ever had. He saved my life and is one of the most caring doctors. He actually listens. He is amazing. Thank you Dr. Zoeteman for everything you do for my family and myself!

Only about money. They tell you that your there for one thing and the dr doesn't even know why you are there. No communication and thats scary.

I truly thought Dr. Z cared about me, but at my last appointment he basically said i was a charity case and since he no longer accepted my insurance (he said he was on some kind of waiting list???) to find another doctor. Thanks for the tears.
