She saved my baby's life
My baby was born with a heart defect that went unnoticed during pregnancy. When he was born, Dr Borden realized something was wrong immediately. She called for the echo tech (who had already went home for the day) and ran multiple tests to figure out what was wrong. Turns out he had a heart defect causing his blood not to bring oxygen to his body. She moved quickly and got my baby transferred to the children's hospital within a couple hours of him being born. He's now 4 months old and thriving. I've heard from multiple echo techs and various hospital staff that it's not often that a baby born outside the children's hospital with a serious condition like his gets diagnosed and transferred as quick as he did. I'm forever grateful for her quick reaction and initiative. Without her my baby might not be here today.
