Dr. Danilo Hoyumpa, MD

If you're looking for a provider who listens to your concerns, takes your symptoms seriously, or shows any capacity for collaborative care, I strongly advise you to avoid Dr. Dan Hoyumpa.I’ve consistently felt dismissed and unheard, ignored or passed off. I received more thoughtful care from the attending nurse practitioner who handled my symptoms at a local ER recently. Not surprisingly, when I tried to follow up, the recommendations were incomplete bc he didn't agree with the attending during my ER visit. His lack of curiosity, compassion, and basic patient-centered communication is unacceptable.

This doctor and Texas Family Clinic PLLC are horrible. Thank God I only went once and saw who these people where. Please don't make the same mistake I did this doctor has a terrible bedside manner and you will receive surprise bills with ridiculous figures for a routine visit.

After years as a patient at Texan Family Clinic, I’m beyond frustrated. The front office staff is untrained and rude, and the mandatory YourHealth portal has never worked properly. Despite resetting my account multiple times and providing proof of errors, staff dismiss concerns with comments like, “That’s impossible.” Today, I wasted two hours trying to get a simple lab order, only to discover my account was linked to someone else’s email. Even when I offered to waive HIPAA rights to resolve the issue, the staff refused to help efficiently and argued instead.Additionally, while the clinic has Dr. Hoyumpa and a PA, Evelyn, I’ve only seen the doctor once—on my first visit. Every other visit has been with the PA, but I’m charged the same rate as if I were seeing the doctor. As a cash-paying patient, I feel taken advantage of. Dr. Hoyumpa has been by PCP for over 3 years, he and his staff have always been caring, professional, patient & efficient. I feel heard when discussing ailments & I feel he tells me "like it is" which i truly appreciate.

Went for annual blood work, I’ve been going there 2-3 years, my weight was up about 5 pounds my blood pressure was 140/96 which is a few points higher than I usually am, he chewed me out like he was my granny/his speech was faster, his tone n volume were up/ “I didn’t mean to upset you”, “uh Doc I’m fine you’re the one that seems to be upset”, I ended up asking to just go home, didn’t get blood drawn, was my only off day available for a Doc appointment, now no new RX for bp, no lab work and no PCP, wonderful

Dr Hoyumpa has been my PCP for over five years and I would not consider a change. Never a problem making an appointment. Office wait time is always less than 10 minutes. Dr Hoyumpa communicates with laymen terms his diagnostic and prognostic. For those rare times I do not follow his advice (I am a smoker), he respects my decision and has not berate me on subsequent visits.

The entire experience was seamless, efficient, and professional. I was contacted to offer a sooner appointment than the one I scheduled online, and the staff was so friendly. Dr. Hoyumpa took time with me and listened well. He ordered the right tests and took great care of me. I highly recommend this clinic.

This doctor was one of the worst ones I’ve seen. I went to him twice as a PCP referral from the ER. He sent me home with nothing to actually help me. I went to a different doctor today and he took an X-ray, actually LISTENED to my complaints/symptoms. Turned out I have CHRONIC sinusitis. This doctor told me nothings wrong it’s kist a cold after being sick for 4 MONTHS. Never seeing him again. Left my last appointment with him in tears. Find a better doctor.

Dr. Hoyumpa and his staff are top notch. The quality of care and attention to detail I received was excellent. He truly cares about you and your well being. Never once did I feel as though I was just another patient, PERIOD! I highly recommend Dr. Hoyumpa.

Dr. Hoyumpa is an amazing doctor who truly cares about his patients! I would highly recommend him to my family, friends, and everyone else. He sees patients of all ages so I will be bringing my kids here as well.
