Dr. Danka Michaels, MD

De. Michaels has been my internist since I moved to L. V. from Los Angeles 3 years ago. I appreciate her expertise and easy to communicate with personality. I feel very comfortable speaking with her when I have a medical problem.

Dr. Michaels is one of the worst doctors that I have ever came across. She's extremely rude and has horrible patient skills. I was with a different doctor at her practice who was away for a while, so had to see her due to an issue. The issue in question was around side effects taking place from a new medication. The side effect in question involved a sensitive area unique to men. With that said, she was the doctor on duty and asked me 'Wouldn't you rather have a male doctor look at this?' Keep in mind they have only ONE male doctor, my primary doctor, and he was out of state. So what did she expect me to do? Wait for 2-weeks? Does that mean she only sees female patients? Then she questioned my doctor's medical direction openly and was very aggressive in how she described a chronic condition. She nearly made me feel so bad that I was going to give up the major progress that I had made, because it wasn't going as far as she saw fit. I strongly recommend staying away from her.

I had Dr Michaels for more years than I can count, I like that she is a give it to me straight kind of person. if I'm sick she got right to the root of the problem

Scheduled an appointment with a 6-month wait in January. Got a text 3 days before the appointment that Dr Michael’s will be out and they need to reschedule. THREE DAYS after waiting six months. Not going to even BOTHER to respond.

I wish I had read these reviews before visiting this doctor as they accurate. I also found Dr. Michaels' as boorish, rude, impatient and insulting.

Excellent. Dr. Michaels shows genuine concern for my overall health. Was very insistent that I get testing Blue Cross refused to pay for, that testing saved my life as I had a coronary blockage. I have referred friends and family and all have extremely favorable results and reviews of Dr Michaels care. I expect a professional to be to the point and truthful about the situation I'm consulting with them about. The Doctor's bedside manner is as good or better than any physician I/or family have consulted with in Las Vegas over the past 50 years. With her background I believe she has better insight into prescription action/reaction than other physicians. I've been her patient for over 15 years. NONE BETTER.

Dr. Michaels is rude, uncaring, does not listen or ask you why you are there. She needs to take a class in people 101. If you want a caring considerate doctor, do not go to her. Her billing is outrageous.

Poor office management! Pharmacy requested refills. One was sent to correct pharmacy, other sent 5 days later to another pharmacy. Took 3 requests to find out anything truthful. Office manager Tanya was nice one call and disrespectful on the other, almost blaming me the patient. How was I at fault? The pharmacy (Walmart) sent the request twice and office chose a different pharmacy?? Asked for Dr. call back - will update if THAT occurs! Was given so much incorrect information that indicates the back office does not know what they are doing. This is not how a practice should run Perhaps that is why there seems to be a revolving door of staff. I was even told the person handling was overloaded with voicemails (hmmm, you think they may not know what they are doing) I am seriously considering if this practice is for me, my husband. Seems like more attention to the cash paying "Medical Spa" side instead of patient care side. Very sad, this was a good practice

I have been a patient of Dr Michaels for several years. Once upon a time, because of our insurance, we were sent to Southwest Medical instead. What a joke that was. You cant even see a Dr theee unless you are on medicare. Their rules. Now we are back where we belong with Dr Michaels. Best care we've ever had. She is patient, sympathetic, and thorough. She goes over all test results with you, face-to-face, line-by-line and explains it clearly

She doesn’t get back with results she has ordered. Her nurses are useless.

Dr. Michaels often does not even know why you are there after asking you to return on a certain date. Never sends info. to other doctors as requested. She is rude and short with you. More interested in greed Bluepoint than with you. Please do not use this doctor!!

Very astute, sent me for several tests and had it corrected before anything major took place. It was not an obvious thing--so grateful she kept looking

Dr Michaels and her assistant Roberto I have been seeing for years. Their office staff is what's their problem. They use to have these two older ladies at the desk one greeting, another at the check out They were so personable, sweet and made you feel important. Unfortunately now the girl's they have at the desk's are unprofessional, they don't greet you when you come in, the only time they speak to you is when they are asking for your co-pay. Give off a very uncomfortable, unwelcoming feeling.

Dr Michaels is a very caring doctor and I can trust my health to her practice

Have to call office to get test results and no one ever calls back. Not sure why this dr orders tests.
