I'm sure it's a lot more exciting to fix knees on athletes. This doctor has a very poor bedside manner and is rude to people he considers overweight. My spine was severely damaged as a child and I scored the trifecta plus for for bad genes for weight gain and have every condition known to man practically that causes weight gain. After finding a doctor to fix my spine I've lost 116 pounds going from a size 26 to a size 18 and yet according to him, 'I'm obviously not trying very hard to lose weight because I've only lost 1 pound in the last few months'. You try to move on a knee that needs surgery and when you were stressed to the max taking care of a disabled sister while working 2 jobs during the few months that I only lost a pound.

All was great until they sent me home from surgery. Doctor wasn't available for complications, I've been to the ER 3 times, long painful not yet recovery of 3 months. Wish I'd never done a hip replacement at this point. All I ever see is his assistant who has no answers and says it just takes time. So tired of hurting all the time and barely getting around.

If you're looking for an Orthopedic Surgeon, I would highly recommend Dr. Darin Allred, DO to anyone needing knee surgery. He took time explaining things clearly and concisely to me regarding knee replacement. However, at no time did he look at his watch nor did I feel rushed. In addition he has a great professional staff. As a veteran I salute him for his service and for his great knowledge and orthopedic surgeon experience. I am extremely happy with both knee replacement results. I would rate Dr. Allred a big SIX not a 5 star.

Dr. Allred is a top notch doctor, who takes the time with his patients and listens to their concerns. I’ve been seeing him for 3 years, and he’s always gone beyond the scope of care. I was referred to him by the nurse on the hospital surgery floor. 5 stars ??

Went in to see Dr Allred for the first time to see how to deal with right hip pain that returned. He took his time to look over the xrays he ordered in his office and explain all he saw to me. Did a pain/anti-inflammatory injection right there in his office! No hospital admitting or stay. I was ready for pain of injection but he was already done. Left there feeling painful and knowing about my hip issues. His staff was friendly & helpful. Office & room very clean as well. I would highly recommend!!

I had a total knee replacement 1 year ago. The entire experience went very well. I would highly recommend Dr Allred. My physical therapist called me the model patient, and smiled and said it was because i had a great surgeon. The total experience went well from the first exam, to the pre-hospital stay. My overnight hospital stay, and all the follow up exams. Everything was very organized. I don’t have 100% movement back, but not far from it. I can now do lots of physical activities that hurt too much to do one year ago. Many thanks ti Dr Allred!
