Caution, Darrell Plumage MD is a PCP with poor communication skills and questionable medical judgment. He fails to supply a holistic treatment plan integrating informed advice about both physical and mental health. At intake, he was stigmatizing at the mere mention of my psych diagnosis yet understood little when questioned. At a follow-up appointment, he invited a resident into the exam room without my express permission. My main concerns were constipation, bloating, nausea, and indigestion possibly due to gastroparesis. Oddly enough, he failed to order any necessary tests, offer any prescription medication, or suggest OTC remedies. Instead, in a humiliating and careless manner, he put me horizontal on a gurney in front of the resident, poking his finger into my gut and blurting in a vulgar tone: 'it's not bloating, it's fat!' Simply put, Dr. Plumage is an incompetent internist in a negligent rush. His nurse is even worse. Find another experienced and civil general practitioner.
