Great doctor. Had a falling out with his partners
Great doctor. He made a mistake when he went into partnership with Advanced Orthopedics. He will be moving on and has left this practice. I had consultations with 2 other doctors in this practice and I cannot recommend them. Find out where Dr. Ruark ends up (Holyoke possibly) and see him.

Dr. Ruark is the best there is
I had two knee replacements last year and Dr. Ruark is an excellent doctor. I'm glad I chose him. His PA, Brian and my coordinator, Debbie are the cream of the crop. His office staff is top notch and you always get a person when you call. I would recommend Dr. Ruark's practice to anyone having a knee problem.

Great bedside manner and honest
Dr. Ruark is a very approachable doctor who listens attentively and provides accurate information. He has replaced one of my hips and both of my knees so far. I have no regrets after all of these surgeries that I chose him.

I highly recommend Dr. Roark for knee surgery. He made me feel very comfortable and always explained in terms I could understand. My whole experience was as pleasant as any surgery could be. Looking forward to a clean bill of health on my next appointment on September 8th.

I started seeing Dr Ruark in 2011 and he helped me a number of times over those years. Three arthroscopic procedures on my knees over the past 9 years were incurred. Finally in 2020, I decided to have my knees replaced because of the pain and not being able to walk too far. Dr Ruark and PA Brian Katz are the best in my opinion. I was never rushed or pushed into any operating room. They always conveyed to me my options and that I would know when my knee replacements would be necessary for me to have relief. There understanding, patience and skills helped sustained and guide my judgment of when to replace my knees. It has now been three months from my last replacement and almost one year from my first replacement. The first replacement was a walk in the park. There was no pain and recovery was quick. My second replacement was just like Dr Ruark indicated it could be. It is just taking longer to recover, but not surprised because I know I had a plan and confidence with Dr Ruark.

I have been seeing Dr. Ruark's PA, Brian Katz for arthritis in my right knee. The best PA I have ever seen! He is very thorough, compassionate, professional and simply takes the time to listen to his patient's concerns. I did had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Ruark for an appointment that was scheduled with Brian Katz, but Brian had to leave early. Dr. Ruark was seeing Brian's patients. I was extremely impressed that the doctor was actually seeing the PA's patients. Best orthopedic practice!

I had a hip replacement 5 months ago and there is no more hip pain! I am still getting my strength back, but I can ride a bike better than walking distances! I use my cane occasionally, but can walk around the house and yard just fine. Both of my legs are now the same length. I am so pleased with the results. I plan on skiing this winter! The office is personal. They answer their own phone, and know who we are as individuals. I love the personal touch. Thank you!
