Dr Amory is terrible, doesn’t pay attention to detail or spend any time examining your condition. He’s very quick to suggest surgery without taking a thorough approach and actually putting any care into the work he does. I’m suffering years later from a poor ankle surgery he performed. Poor bedside manners, impatient and clearly doesn’t care about the work he does.

Avoid this doctor!
My experience with Dr. Amory was a nightmare! After he injected my knees with what was supposed to be cortisone I have more pain, not less. For the first two days I had to hold onto things in order to walk around my house. As time is going by the pain is increasing. I pray that what was injected will wear off. This man was extremely unprofessional. I summited a previous review relating exactly what happened during my visit with him but it was not published. It may have been too graphic although true. Avoid this Dr. like the plague!!

Well, not surprised I would have to leave a negative/unfavorable review. For starters, my appointment was cancelled and was told the reason why was because the doctor's office was waiting for the medical board to approve office visits (lies). I called the medical board and was informed medical offices are using COVID as a crutch and it was up to the individual medical office to stay open. So, moving forward a month later I was given an appointment. When I arrived, the doctor did not have on a mask and after about 30 seconds or so decided/remembered to put one on. Now, my MRI clearly shows I have a full rotator cuff tear and the initial workers comp ortho doctor was getting ready to schedule me for surgery however, I had not been approved by State Fund at the time. I ended up having to see a QME which was Dr. Amory. He actually told me after examining me that out of any option I had surgery would be the option I should choose. He highly recommended surgery for someone working in my care

I will not return to this doctor or this office. Dr. Amory was curt, dismissive and lacking of anything remotely resembling 'bedside manner.' He said there was nothing he could do, "You can keep wearing that (boot) if you want." I felt worse when I left than when I entered.

This review is from my recent experience of consulting with Dr. David Amory in Oceanside. Amory was decidedly arrogant, abrupt, clearly harried to bugger off and attend to his next victim/patient and seemingly put out by my concerned inquires regarding the actual procedure of repairing my completely torn ACL, the time for recovery and the like . I left feeling no better prepared to make a decision then before, other than there was no way i'd ever let that rude being near my damaged knee!

I would not recommend him to anyone!!! I would say run the opposite way. He lacks complete professionalism and care to the patient. He does not seem to care how you are feeling or the symptoms you have, he basically stated because the X-ray showed nothing and his physical test performed was fine that there was nothing he could do for me. On top of that I waited 45 min in the room before he even came in after the MA left.

I would never recommend him to anyone. I left with more questions than answers and was so frustrated with his customer service. Not impressed. He was short and rude and don't feel that he cares enough to find answers for his patients.

My appts. were always pre-scheduled, yet the wait time was always 45+ mins. and in a very crowded waiting room. Dr. Amory had clearly mistaken me for another patient when my cast was removed. After the fact, he said I'd been in my cast for a month--it'd been 2 wks. He referred to my accident at the end of the appt.--it was not the accident I'd had.
