Terrible
Terrible - I saw him for a consultation as well - and had same experience as others. I waited 45 min for him (Nurse told me - keep busy on your phone he is always late). When he did come in did not review my prior blood labs and ignored my questions and symptoms. He said my labs was 'normal' even though tests clearly are not. Also took addition blood and never got feedback from him (should have refused the additional blood work which was charged $3k to insurance). Gaslighted me and was dismissive. Find some one else.

Hope my experience isn't the usual
Waited 1.5hrs to be seen because the lab orders (required before seeing Dr. Araten) weren't in the system and nobody took initiative to correct though I was seen by the lab. Once labs were returned during appt., the dr made a diagnosis that was in contradiction to the tests. When I told him his diagnosis was unsupported by the tests and lack of symptoms, he said the tests were unreliable. Instead I should get a biopsy the same week to confirm his diagnosis. Not possible in medicine today, especially without him making a call.He then created a treatment plan that was contraindicated with my current kidney function. I told him I didn't want a synthetic, he said natural forms don't exist. Google proved him wrong. I said NO, but he sent in a nurse to administer anyway. Declined treatment. As I was leaving he came out to ask if he examined my heart & lungs because he didn't remember. Stunned, I reminded him he did listen to my heart & lungs, but not the words coming out of my mouth.

Poor communication
I visited this hematologist and had 13 vials of blood drawn to be followed up with a consultation. The test results were not back in time, so the physician took a history from me and said he would call me to discuss the test results, which came in over the next few hours. A week later, I still had not received a call, so I called the office to schedule one. We scheduled a video call for the following week in the AM. At the appointed time, the physician did not arrive. I waited a full hour and twenty minutes, during which time I also called the office twice. Eventually I hung up. Will find another physician.
