I wrote a review two weeks ago after a negative experience but want to post one now about a completely positive one. This morning Dr. Ashkenaze performed a fourth surgery on my son’s arm to close a wound that was the result of Acute Compartment Syndrome. The doctor was extremely thorough in explaining the procedure, which went well, and very compassionate toward helping my son manage his pain after having a skin graft from his leg to close the arm wound. This experience—having four surgeries as a result of Dr. Ashkenaze’s timely diagnosis on July 22–has been trying; but ultimately, he did a wonderful job taking care of my son and I am grateful for the comfort he gave us today.

A few years ago I shattered my knee and was taken to the hospital in Laguna Beach. Luckily Dr. Ashkenaze’s office is behind the hospital and he came over quickly. That very day he fixed the dislocation of my lower leg. The following day he expertly pieced my knee together. Six years later my knee works just fine. I would recommend Dr. Ashkenaze to anyone!

Dr. Ashkenaze has taken care of several of our family members, including my last knee surgery, my son's broken leg with complications, broken hand also with complications. The knee surgery for me was my fourth. I had lived with chronic pain for 15 years. I haven't had pain since the surgery (17 years now). What I value most in Dr. Ashkenaze is his compassion and willingness to listen to how the patient sees the problem, not just his perspective as a clinician. He's simply the best.

I have had 5 back surgeries with other physicians and now have a neuroma and Achilles tendinitis. Dr. Ashkenazi reviewed my recent MRI’s and prescribe physical therapy. Additionally, he referred me to a colleague for my feet issues. Although we all have opinions, these negative comments are unwarranted. Ultimately, YOU are responsible for your medical care. Be honest with your physicians and get a second opinion if not satisfied. Continue to request records, go into the office!

Absolutely awful from the moment I got to the office to the moment I received a bill. He showed up over 2 hours late to an appointment, billed my insurance, and had the audacity to request an additional $29.53 from me. Stay away from this doctor and office if you're looking for an honest and fair assessment of your injury. Who would trust a doctor to operate on their spine, when the doctor shows up for an "appointment" 2 hours late...?

I was having pain in my left knee so I went to see Dr. Ashkenaze. He ordered a MRI. I have really good insurance and usually have to pay little to nothing for procedures but this one was expensive. I understand MRIs are expensive so I just got over it. I am giving the Dr and his office a bad review because after my initial visit I have never heard from them again. I called three times to try and get the results from my expensive MRI and no one will answer or call me back. It has been over 6mths
