Top Notch! You Don’t Get Better Then This
Usually general surgeons have the reputation for being arrogant and cocky. Not the case with Dr Berler, his staff, or surgical residents. I knew going into this surgery that it would be risky. But Dr Berler and his team of surgical associates walked my wife and I through every step from pre op to post op and was very caring and compassionate. I had happened to have an issue on a Saturday evening and had to call Dr Berler’s office. I received a call back in less then 5 minutes with instructions on how to proceed. Sunday morning at 9am, Dr Berler called to see how I was feeling. I can’t say enough good things about Dr Berler and his team. From admittance to discharge, and post operative follow up, the best care anywhere. If you’re at Cooperman Barnabas, ask for Dr Berger. You’ll be glad you did.

Dr. Berler is my hero.
Dr. Berler is my hero. He took the time to make me feel safe and comfortable, which was so important to me after I had severe trauma from an emergency life/death rare stomach event a year ago. Dr. Berler was kind, patient, extremely professional, and explained everything about my umbilical hernia surgery (more than once!)I am home and it's one day later, and I can happily tell all of you that Dr. Berler is a gifted surgeon, and not only operated on my umbilical surgery successfully but also kept me calm despite my fears.I highly recommend Dr. Berler, for any of your needs, including more complex surgeries. Thank you Dr. Berler!

Best Doc Yet!
Dr. Berler was one of my favorite doctors to date! He was extremely kind and professional at all stages of treatment, from pre-op to post-op. Hopefully I’ll never need a surgeon again, but if I do I’ll definitely be going back to Dr. Berler.

LOVE Dr. Berler
Dr. Berler is amazing from pre-op to post-op. He took the time to patiently answer every single question I had about my upcoming surgery to put me at ease. He is a great listener and listened with genuine concern and intent to help me diagnose my problem. He met with me on the day of my surgery to ask how I was doing, and my post-op visit with him was just as thorough. Dr. Berler is so knowledgeable and a true professional.

Best experience with a doctor I’ve ever had
I had to have my gallbladder removed and Dr. Berler was the best surgeon I could’ve ever asked for to do the job. He was so kind and welcoming and made me feel comfortable. He explained everything very thoroughly and made sure that I knew the whole process. I recommend him for anyone who’s scared or having second thoughts about having surgery!

Grateful for being there for me
I’ve been Dr. Berler’s patient since July 2021, when the hardest time of my life started. Not only he perfectly performed the gallbladder removing surgery, which was postponed due to my heavy health condition, but he went through this dark time with me, guiding and supporting, always being reachable and responsive. Recently I had another surgery-hernia repair, and once again I was lucky to have Dr Berler as my surgeon. Can’t be thankful enough for all the professional and human support I got from Dr Berler.

Excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him!
I had Laparoscopic Gallbladder Removal surgery on Jan 26, 2023. Dr. Berler instilled trust and confidence from my 1st visit with him and throughout the whole surgical process. He is very friendly, listens, answers all your questions, and clearly explains what will happen from pre-op through post-op. I found him to be very caring and he takes his time when you see him. I was scared to get my first surgery since having my tonsils removed over 50 years ago. But Dr. Berler put me completely at ease at every step. His office is well run and the staff coordinated all appointments. They were very friendly and helpful. My surgery went very well and I was up and moving about within a few days of my surgery. If I ever need a general surgeon again, Dr. Berler is who I will go to!

Hernia Surgery
Dr. Berler was understanding and super clear about everything I needed to know from the beginning I met him. His staff was very welcoming to every appointment to the day of surgery. I had the Robotic Assisted Repair of Bilateral Hernia with mesh. My surgery went smooth and well, by the 5th day I was back to normal activities inside my house with barely no pain. Before surgery I asked some my friends of mine who are nurses and worked with him in the past and also said great things about him. The day of surgery I was not nervous and fully felt his trust. I def recommend to make a appointment for anything Hernia related with Dr. Berler.

Will make you feel heard! Surgery went great
Dr. Berler was very friendly and kind. Explained everything, listened to all my concerns, answered all questions, didn’t rush through the visits. I had my gallbladder removed by laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Was only at the hospital a few hours and went home. 3 weeks after and you can hardly see incisions! Pain was intense only for the first few days and completely gone in 2 weeks. I never had any organ removals before and I am so grateful to dr. Berler and the staff for making this experience pleasant, for my ease and convenience. Highly recommended
