Dr. Bindelglass replaced both of my hips. I’m fine. My recooperation was easy. His patience with me to let me decide when I was ready for surgery was a good reassurance. In both instances when he saw me, he assured me I was “ready” when I was ready emotionally. Hope he doesn’t retire in case I need him again!

After a fall and a broken hip due to osteoporosis, my 80 year old mother was operated on by Dr. Bindelglass and given a half hip-replacement. The surgery left her leg 1.25 inches shorter than the other. She is 4’ 11’’tall, so this is an enormous discrepancy on her frame. The result has been a serious decline in her quality of life. I strongly advise anyone and everyone to avoid this doctor. I had my own hip replaced (full replacement) at the Hospital for Surgery in Manhattan and the operation went beautifully and the result perfect. HSS (as they are referred to) now has offices in Stamford. They are among the most skilled and competent doctors in the world. I strongly urge anyone needing joint replacement surgery go there and avoid OSG of Fairfield.

Had both hips replaced by Dr. Bindelglass ten years ago. Could not be happier!

I had total left hip replacement in April 2012. I woke up with drop foot and severe pain to my entire left leg especially to my ankle and foot area. He swore to me he would be there for me through all my tears and pain. He wasn't. He dropped me like a hot potato. More than 5 years later, my pain is so severe that I have maxed out the amount of Neurontin I can take, I am on my 2nd AFO, and I am on my fourth spinal stimulator surgery to try and control the pain. My experience with dr Bindelglass was not good. He diagnosed that both my hips needed surgery. It was set up to do both in the same week. After complications with medicine after the first hip operation, I had to cancel surgery on second hip. The first hip operation left me with a huge leg length discrepancy, the second hip was not operated on. It has been quite a long time since then and I have not had any problem with that hip! Did it need an Operation? I would never see this doctor again!!!
