Dr. Burnikel and his staff are friendly, informative, and professional. All of my questions were answered, and I was put at ease before surgery. Dr. Burnikel was straight to the point and open and willing to answer my questions. He provided ample time for my appointment and did not rush through it although he is most certainly a very busy surgeon with many patients.

I like an ortho doc who doesn’t run directly to surgery. Answered all my questions, was thorough in the details of my injury, and gave me all the options. I was happy with the care I received from Dr. BURNIKEL. Not the biggest fan of the coordinating team. It took over a month to get a hold of the person in charge of scheduling MRIs. I called and left numerous messages and never heard back. I almost had to break down the door to get her to notice. Then I was told they had the wrong phone number for me, which is erroneous considering I left messages with my phone number. Seemed like a lame excuse. I finally got my MRI almost two months after my first visit. Pretty frustrating experience consider I was in excruciating pain.

This doctor may sound a bit downcast at first because he doesn’t give you a rosy prognosis. He tends to be on a very conservative side when it comes to expectations but I trusted him with the surgery and it all went well! I’m glad I came to his office! All the staff in his office seem to be very friendly and efficient too!

Left knee replacement 4 year's ago.prothesis was almost 2 inches too short for leg.miserable until revision at Scripps. Burnikel kept blaming me. He knew he messedup.prescribed pain med's for over 6 month's

Dr. Burnikel was very professional and knowledgeable. He prepared me for the surgery and let me know what I would experience. My knee is a nightmare and he did what I thought was impossible. I feel much more confident in my ability to be able to accomplish some of my goals in the near future because I've had this surgery. Though I know it will be a long, difficult road I feel like this was the best possible outcome. I recommend this clinic and Dr. Burnikel for it's timeliness and the amount of care and support they have their patients. I couldn't have asked for a better Dr. And staff.
