cardiovascular surgeon
Dr. Cable put in a new heart valve for my husband. He and his partner invented the new procedure without breaking all the chest bones. My husband was the first. He was totally fine in two weeks. Thank him a lot. I hope he will do any surgery on me as it looks like it might come up in the next week or so.

Disinterested in my concerns. New patient appointment. Did not do any type of assessment and disagrees with STAT test results. Wants more tests Can't get for 8 more days at different hospital. My condition is worsening every day for past 2 weeks and he says nothing can be done to help my situation. He removed his mask upon closing the exam room door, just as I was putting my mask on!!!! He got up and while I was still talking to him. He gathered his papers and said, "I don't have a crystal ball'. Then said, Do you have anymore questions?" As I continued to ask questions he was ready to exit the exam room and had his hand on the doorknob! My condition could possibly lead to worse consequences left untreated.

Dr Cable is well versed in his areas of expertise. He explains everything and answers all questions. He keeps up to date with new techniques and can recommend other drs who perform these new techniques. He treats his patients as he would treat his own family. I highly recommend Dr Cable.

I find few words able to adequately express my satisfaction with Dr Cable and his team. On July 31, 2018, I underwent an aortic valve replacement at St. Anthony's in Rockford Illinois. From the time I met Dr Cable several weeks before surgery, , he explained everything that would happen from the moment I entered the hospital until I was released from hospital 4 days later. He is a remarkable presence, an excellent surgeon. highly recommended!

My father's bypass by Dr. Cable was not successful. Dr Cable told us after the bypass that it was complicated but everything went well. This was a lie and my dad died a few months later. We were told by a team of Drs in Madison that a transplant was needed to fix the things that went wrong during the bypass. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time. There was very little follow up with Dr. Cable after the bypass. I would not recommend Dr. Cable.
