I saw Dr. CLARK for 7 years! I called one day to get a referral because I am moving to Portland, and was harshly denied. Then I get a letter saying he won't provide care for me any longer. He doesn't care about patients just HIS EGO. what Dr. doesn't give a patient who is moving a referral so she can continue neurological care.. an egotistical one like Dr. CLARK

Are all neurologists arrogant?!
I think (having now been under the care of four different neurologists over the past 5 years, due to insurance & moves) that all neurologists are a bit arrogant! And they’ve probably earned that right! But, it seems to affect the demeanor in which they see patients…and Dr. Clark is no exception. He’s mild mannered and kind and has prescribed me appropriate meds in a timely manner so I’ve got no significant complaints about his medicine, however, he could improve his listening skills (use reflective feedback so you know he’s heard you!) and his compassion. It feels very much like a ‘meeting’ instead of an appointment, if that makes sense. His office is well run and his staff is efficient and friendly, I just wish he had a little more warmth!

Dr Clark is excellent
Dr Clark was able to find the appropriate diagnosis and treatment for me, after two other physicians did not. He is caring and listens carefully to my concerns. I would recommend him to anyone with neurology needs. It took time to find the answers, but he never gave up

He pretends to listen and that is all. No care is shown for how your health impacts your life because he’s living in his glorified life as a healthy person with a stable career. No empathy whatsoever. Will not refer elsewhere for help either. Complete waste of time.

Dr. Clark is uninterested in finding the cause of my migraines or in treating them. It took 3 months to get the results of my MRI and EMG and another 3 months for him to adjust the dose of my medication. 7 months into treatment and I am still having multiple migraines per week but Dr. Clark refuses to see me for another 2 months. He has his office staff advise me to go to the ER repeatedly for my migraines instead of seeing me in office to try to prevent them. Terrible patient care provided by an uncaring doctor and staff that is uninterested on the best of days and just rude most of the time

I've been seeing Dr. Clark for MS for 4 years. He is very knowledgeable about MS and my questions are always answered in an easy to understand way. I have never felt pushed into taking a certain medication like previous neurologist I've had. There have been a few visits I felt rushed and that he was distracted. Overall, he has been a good neurologist and feel he has helped me understand what's going on with my condition in comparison to my previous neurologist. I only have issue with my messages not being relayed correctly when I call, leaving me with incomplete answers.

I'm extremely disappointed in the "care" I've received from Dr. Clark. He advised me to discontinue medications that let to another emergency room visit and swelling of my optic nerve. I'm wondering where he took the hippocratic oath or if it had any meaning to him because he indeed has done harm to me.

After suffering from serious pain issues for a number of years, my primary physician refereed me to Oregon Neurology. I was referred in March 2019, but they were unable to schedule an appointment until late May 2019. I was sent for additional tests, and was told to schedule a follow-up. the first follow-up that was available was at the end of August. Yesterday I received a call that they needed to reschedule my appointment. When I returned the call, I expressed that I was not happy that I needed to reschedule when I have already had to wait so long for both the initial and follow-up appointments. They were only able to offer me an appointment with a PA if the doctor would approve it, or I would have to wait until November to be seen. This does not represent adequate patient care. On top of that, the office staff keeps referring to this as an "inconvenience" that they want to apologize for. This is not an inconvenience, this is outright poor patient care. No acceptable!!

Does not listen to what your symptoms are. He had a preconceived notion of what happened even though the doctor in the hospital recorded all the tests and information. He puts no emphasis on a patients quality of life!! Find a doctor that doesn’t find his patients an inconvenience!!
