Absolutely the worst doctor experience I have ever had. Like a cartoon of a really bad doctor. He is arrogant, sarcastic, dismissive of symptoms, does not seem up to date even in his own field, completely without a clue beyond that. He had difficulty following/remembering a fairly succinct description of symptoms, replacing facts with others he preferred. Just bizarrely awful. Left in tears. One star because I can't give zero.

Dr. Cooper was helpful in adjusting my medicine for hypothyroidism, but unfortunately was overshadowed by a bad office experience. Very poor bedside manner; talking to me as if I was beneath him, rushing through appointment as if running late to something, and just blatantly arrogant. I thought maybe our chemistry was not right together, or that I was irritating him with more questions than he desired, until I read other reviews. I went once and will never go back.

Dr. Cooper is a great doctor. He not only has excellent diagnosis and treatment but also treat patient very kindly and patiently. He explained my questions patiently and clearly during my visiting. After nearly 2 years of treatment, my Hyperthyroidism disease is in remission. I am so lucky to have Dr. Cooper to treat my thyroid problem. Thank you for all your help and caring.

I was a new patient and had previously sent my records to Dr. Cooper. At my visit in 2019, Dr. Cooper swiftly placed a fabric tape measure around my neck and said, "Your goiter hasn't grown." Stunned, I replied, "Because the tape measure told you so?" If Dr. Cooper had a career in endocrinology I congratulate him on his years of service. However, he should have retired years ago. I am still stunned by his lack of knowledge and professionalism. I would not recommend him to anyone remotely serious about their health.

I saw Dr. Cooper for hypothyroidism, and I was struggling with fatigue, weight gain, and other traditional symptoms associated with hypothyroidism. He dismissed all of my symptoms, arguing that “people just want to blame everything on their thyroid.” He then suggested putting me back on a medicine that I had already experienced negative side effects from, and I had mentioned this in my consult. When I became frustrated and saddened by him not taking me seriously, he then said that I should probably seek help for depression. It was the most demoralizing experience I have ever had in a doctor’s office, and even more disheartening because I had expected to receive quality care at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Cooper does a very poor job of listening to his patients. He comes across as aragont and condescending. Because I didn't have options to establish a new doctor, I was with him for several years. Regarding his higher than needed dosing, He continually dismissed listening to how I felt or feedback on physical symptoms. It wasn't until I finally found a new doctor who confirmed I had been on too high of dose. After 10 years of the wrong dose, I finally feel good again. But with permanent side effects of his too high, incorrect assessment and not listening to my symptom feedback.

Dr. Cooper is simply amazing! I have never seen a Dr. explaining so well on what the problem is. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He spent so much time to make sure I am well aware of my situation and the consequences of the decisions I make. He even ordered the review of biopsy results to make sure the benign diagnosis was accurate.

Setting up appointment and staff unprofessional. Was left a message to call back to verify appt. Called 4 times and left messages, no one called me back over a 2 week period. Finally spoke with staff. Not professional. Cancelled appt and will see someone esle. If the staff is this unprofessional, how unprofessional is the doctor.

I saw Dr. Cooper without an appointment (schedule mixed-up) even almost the office was closing. He spent almost an hour with me for second opinion appointment. He was very professional and explained almost everything that I should and need to know about my thyroid cancer. I was very anxious before I saw him and when I left I was more hopeful. He has excellent bedside manner, he listens to what I was saying and encourage me to ask questions. He is a kind and very understanding doctor.

I saw Dr. Cooper approximately 4 years ago and he missed diagnosed me with hypothyroidism. He told me that there was nothing wrong when I told him that I was very tired all day long. My TSH is was good but my t4 free was low. He didn't do any other tests. I was just recently diagnosed with Central Hypothyrodism. Now that I am on synthyroid my energy level has been getting better. All he did was feel my thyroid and just looked at the TSH and nothing else. He needs to listen better.

I was treated by Dr. Cooper for cancer in 2004. At the time I felt my options were not clearly explained to me, and I was forced into radiology treatment. I did not like his bedside manner and follow up treatment. Dr Cooper completely missed my post-cancer depression, failing to recommend follow up consultations for my mental health. He literally made me cry. 13 years later, I still have regrets about his care. Scheduling an appointment was difficult as well and he rushed through the appts.

Dr. Cooper was absolutely excellent! I could not be happier and lucky to have seen Dr. Cooper for my thyroid problem. He treated me like I was the only patient he had, he gave complete and full attention to my questions, gave me a lesson about the thyroid function and explained every aspect of the procedure. He was very kind and patient and a master on the procedure I had. Eddy. Rockville, MD

He explained my questions patiently and clearly during my visiting, that reduced my anxiety. He cured my thyroid nodule by thyroid aspiration technique. I did not need to face the surgery pain and danger. I felt that I was very lucky to have Dr. Cooper to treat my thyroid problem. I appreciate his kind help.

I was a little concerned about his bedside manner after looking at prior reviews, however, my experience with Dr. Cooper was fantastic. I don't think I've ever had a doctor spend as much time with me as he did. He educated my on the Thyroid, he thoroughly explained everything that was going on. He patiently answered my numerous questions, showed me the Ultra sound and went over what I was looking at in detail. I really can't say enough about my 100% positive experience with Dr. Cooper!!

My family doc and two prior endocrinologists have been fumbling around with my hyperthyroidism for over 1 1/2 tedious years. It did take some time to get an appointment with Dr. Cooper, but it was worth the wait. I finally feel like I'm on the right path to managing this chaos. He was so thorough, knowledgable, personable, and patient. He has responded quickly to my email correspondence and went above and beyond to expedite testing. I feel like he really cares. What a relief.

Was expecting the patient/doctor experience to match the caliber of his credentials. Unfortunately, bad experience. This was first (and last) visit. No visible attempt on his part to connect with me, or for that matter to even really respect my comments and/or answers to his questions. Just short sarcastic feedback. He may know the science of medicine, but doesn't display the caring / intangible variable aspect of medicine. Bottom Line: Not the doctor for my care.
