David has been my doc for nearly 25 years. He is hands down one of the best, most knowledgeable physicians I have seen or know personally. He is very easy to talk with and takes time to explain why he is prescribing Rx or other course of action. I agree you will wait but I have never been to a doctor where you do not wait. Just bring cash or check with you - not too difficult!

I have been seeing Dr. Cummings for several years and have always felt comfortable with his treatment. A few months ago, I contracted COVID and had to go to multiple specialists and change my treatment plan fairly quickly. I became horribly depressed and anxious. If it wasn't for Dr. Cummings I doubt I would I have made it through those months like I did. He kept a constant check on me, adjusted my medications quickly, and did appointments over the phone when necessary. But beyond that, he genuinely CARED about me as a person not a patient or a number. And that's something so hard to find. There isn't another doctor I trust with my health in this area.

He's always been a bit temperamental. Threw a fit and refused to call in prescriptions to CVS. Would call in anywhere else. Herds people through like cattle. Be prepared to wait even with an appointment. Doesn't take credit cards or debit cards. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Cummings is great! He helped me with my weight problem! It is easy to get an appt with him, even last minute. Yes, his office can use an upgrade and it sucks that he doesn't take cards (only cash or checks) but other than that, it's a great office and environment. I do not know what these other people are talking about in their negative reviews because his staff is never rude. I've been going to him for about 3 years and the same lady is at the front desk and she is very nice and welcoming.

He thinks he is the ladies man , however he is an old burn out that was never really good at his job. Years back I know he wouldn’t take Tricare. (Military insurance bc he wasn’t paid enough with them) I would have to pay cash.

I sadly stayed for many years with Dr. Cummings. He didn't care to stay and listen, wrote prescriptions before I was done talking, misdiagnosed me on several occasions, yelled at other patients (I could hear through the wall), and made rude, suggestive comments. Receptionist loud, condescending and incredibly rude.

Dr Cummings is a very compassionate, caring provider that truly listens to each patients complaints without dismissing their concerns, which is really hard to find. He takes his time with you and addresses your concerns before you leave the office. He's the best provider that I've been able to find in the valley!

Cummings is an ok doctor. That said, all else is pathetic. Southwest Medical Clinic is a dump, nurses/staff rude and PHI (protected health information) visible to anyone interested. Cleanliness-Office looks as though it hasn't been renovated, cleaned, fresh paint, etc, since 80s. Wait room disgusting. Nurses/Staff-snippy over phone for misinforming me 2xs about meds refill, Nurse says Come after taking my BP. PHIvisible through wait room window and when getting BP and weight taken. Avoid!

After paperwork completion, I handed forms to the receptionist. As I handed her the forms she wanted to know how I was going to pay my co-pay. I said by either check or debit card. She informed me that I should have been told when scheduling the appointment that I needed to bring cash to the first visit, which I WAS NOT.The receptionist then thrust the paperwork at me and yelled, I'm not arguing with you! It was a blood pressure issue that brought me to Dr. Cummings .I went to my car and cried.
