Just picked up my new glasses today. Can now read the small print on TV. Dr. Emmel told me I’d be able to read more than 1 hour at a time and I can with no problem. With prism I do not see double anymore. He was friendly and very professional. Explained everything, did not rush and very willing and thoroughly answered any questions I had. Definitely recommend him.

Dr. Emmel is an excellent ophthalmologist. I met Dr. Emmel for the year’s 2nd visit to an ophthalmologist. My cataract problem was just surfaced two years ago. And, I have no any other health problem. However, while I visited my former Ophthalmologist earlier this year, I felt it went to a wrong direction. Without a complete evaluation, my former Dr. put me right to a cataract surgery. I was shocked. Regardless the cataract, I told him that my vision was improving in recent years due to my myopia was decreasing. I did some research on cataract and made my 2nd appointment with Dr. Emmel. My visit went very well. Dr. Emmel did a complete evaluation on my situation. He looked up my health history and evaluated my cataract condition. In conclusion, Dr. Emmel told me that my cataract is not a fast growing one and there is no need for a surgery now. And with my current glasses, my corrected vision is 2.0! Thank you Dr. Emmel !

He listened intently to my concerns and treated me as a partner when making decisions about future procedures. Dr Emmel is very thorough with his examination. He’s been my eye doc for 25+ years and gotten me through several eye conditions over the years, including cataract surgery. Only issue can be lengthy waiting to get into the exam room, otherwise it is an excellent experience.

Dr. Emmel answers your questions. He doesn’t rush you. He spends as much time with you as you need to understand his recommendations.
