Something's changed
Patient for more than 15 years. Was great doc until 2 years ago when noticeable rushing thru appointment started along with less information and education provided. Custom orthotic checks were 'how do they feel?' opposed to visually assessing support with patient standing on them and or walking in them, so changes in my flat feet got missed. Recommended multi. cortisone injections (along with night boot and stretching) for plantar fasciitis (PF). Later learned cortisone is no longer considered a good approach for PF; the treatment plan for my PF (ouside of boot and stretcheing) was not best practice and completely ineffective. Missed a partial tear of ligament on MRI and tendonitis.. Told by foot and ankle surgeon that imporperly fitting orthotics likely contributed to partial tear. Left the practice after this big miss.

Dr. Erfle is personable and professional however the surgery scheduling and staff are reasons I would not recommend his office. Information was not communicated and I felt my time was disrespected. I would have done my procedure elsewhere had I known.

Dr. Erfle has a great bedside manner and is a very trustworthy doctor. He lays everything out in plain terms and at no time does he condescend. He is thorough and conservative - ideal qualities in a surgeon.

I saw Dr. Erfle to get a second opinion on my foot pain after seeing another podiatrist for 6 months who was suggesting surgery. THANK GOD I saw Dr. Erfle. He picked up on a small 'clue' - my Psoriasis - and asked if I had Arthritis. When I said 'yes', he told me to see a Rheumatologist and NOT to have surgery as he thought my condition was arthritis related, not tendon related. Without seeing Dr. Erfle, I would have had unnecessary surgery, had recovery time, immense pain and wasted money
