Hateful & Rude
I gladly walked away. Three days before surgery, I went back to ask questions. FOX screamed and yelled. He told me to hush and didn't want to answer my questions. I had to jump through a ton of hoops to get to surgery, not to mention all the time & money I spent. He was horrific! There are plenty of Doctors and I refuse to allow this behavior on my time and on my dime. We need to DEMAND EXCELLENCE in medicine. I demand better & I will not let anyone speak to me this way!

FRIGHTENING APPOINTMENT
Dr. Fox screamed at me and my husband sitting next to him had to ask him to calm down. I had reacted when he was examining me and he was proving how screaming didn't bother him. This was very discerning. I am going to a different Dr. After reading other reviews I am glad I am not alone in his actions to patients.

This guy is terrible! He acted like I should've been to hop off the table and walk to my car right after surgery. He drilled holes to make scabs to provide a cushion for my knees and I should not have walked for 6 weeks after. I didn't know this until I had another doctor do it properly and explain everything to me.

If you want your injury fixed and the best surgeon possible working on your knees - then you go see Dr. David Fox. He truly saved my life and he alone with a handful of surgeons in the country - yes in the country(!) – knew how to perform specific procedures. He was able to provide the knee replacement & revision surgery I needed for my MRSA Grade II infection. He is crazy TALENTED! And when it came time to make hard decisions he sat down with me and we made them. I do not disagree that his bedside manner can be dry and sometimes harsh. Yet he knows his craft Truly that’s what you’re paying for. You’re not paying for him to be super sweet and so nice! Yes it helps him get clients if he would but at the end the man is amazing at what he does and he doesn’t need to be. It’s just the truth. I’d go see him any day over those that didn’t know what the hell they were really doing & made my situation worse. 15 surgeries on my knees & Dr. Fox was the last 2 that ended my nightmare.

I saw him right before Thanksgiving last year. I had taken x-rays with me after being told to do so and he never looked at them but had the staff take more X-rays of my hip while I was there. I was going to Dallas for Thanksgiving and I asked him if he could give me a cortisone shot for the pain. He would not do it and told me to cancel my trip to Dallas. I already was scheduled to work Christmas and New Year's and I did not want to cancel Thanksgiving plans. He was more concerned about finding someone to help him do surgery the day I saw him then he was about my pain and told me his surgery was important like if I wasn't. He referred me to get a cortisone injection straight into the hip joint. I had to wait till the 3rd week of December to get the appointment. The pain never went away all the way and by the beginning of February it was like I had gotten no injection at all. I would have preferred getting a hyaluronic acid injection or something similar.

This Dr. is cruel and has 2 very different behaviors ... One he uses in the presents of patients who see him alone and one he uses when someone goes in with you... Really, like two different people... He also employee's someone named Lena who has the job of speaking to your in home care service and treats them in a way that makes them fear having to call in to give or receive instructions. As I look at the whole ordeal still years after, I see him as a insurance seeking surgeon who has No Use for you after he has collected His Money ... In my 65 yrs I have never meet any Dr. so cruel and harsh. Please do not go to Dr. David Fox on 18707 Hardy Oak Blvd. in San Antonio Tx. This Dr. teats people with purposeful malice!

Dr. David Fox is not a bedside manner doctor HOWEVER; Dr. Fox knows his craft to a "T" and he saved my life. He isn't here to be a friend and although I agree that compassionate care is important; I feel that you go see Dr. Fox when other options are exhausted and/or you just want the best darn doctor and associate physician to work on you. Personally, I gave it right back without being disrespectful to his expertise and ommitting any foul language - and he was fine with it. Lastly, when my road to wellness led to hundreds of thousands in expenses to the hospital - it was Dr. Fox who then compassionatley spoke to me about considering other financial options as well as; offered to write a letter on my behalf.

The answering service rep is rude as heck. Claims the Dr no longer see's follow up patients. Well I don't want a PA to see my husband he wants a Dr. That's what I am paying for. The last time the PA gave him an injection it lasted 3 days when Dr fox did it, it lasted almost 3 months. No more trainers

Dr. Fox does surgery only after all non-surgical methods have been used and exhausted. He performed a total knee replacement in February 2017 & at 5 months after I am pleased I had the surgery performed. Dr. Fox is straightforward and explains all procedures thoroughly. He is compassionate and only wants the best result for his patients.

This Dr is by far the biggest egotistical and unfriendly physician I've ever come across...I will never feel comfortable going under his knife. He treats his staff like lower class citizens and only cares about the "Bottom Dollar" No Thank You!! I'll find a different doctor.

I took my Mother to talk about hip replacement. They required that she have more X-rays even though she had X-rays in hand from 2 weeks prior. He was pretty aggressive, in-your-face, my way or the hwy type. I didn't get talk or ask questions. I'm sure he's a good surgeon, but I just need better rapport.

He is not interested in my thoughts. Told me to stop talking because he felt i was a talker. His perception of my thoughts/me was incorrect. I did not get to ask what concerned me. I would ask or start to ask a question and would be shut down.

Dr. Fox and his entire team operate as a well oiled machine. I was in the hospital, had my surgery, and was out of the hospital within 48 hours. I had an epidural and surgery was virtually pain free. I am six weeks out of surgery and still doing pt 3 times a week. I will see Dr. Fox this Friday and I am hopeful he will grant me a full pardon. That is not to say that I am fully recovered. At age 70, But I know every day moving forward will find me stronger and stronger!
