Dr. David Godin, MD

I brought my son to Dr. Godin and we had a fantastic experience with him. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but he made my son feel comfortable and was so good with him. Dr. Godin came up with an excellent plan of action and made me feel like we are in great hands. Highly recommend him.

His knowledge and bedside manner are excellent. The exams are succinct and thorough, and he spends a lot of time with you to explain the situation and what the next steps are. One of my favorite doctors!

I visited Dr. Godin for earwax removal. I was ushered in for a hearing test which I did not request. I agreed when I was told it was covered by insurance - it wasn't. I was also charged over $450 for my visit, when I have typically paid $80 to $100 in the past. Avoid this doctor if you value your health or wallet.

Dr. Godin is wonderful. We took our son to him in the summer of 2023 after noticing he had problems breathing and heavy snoring. He made him laugh and feel at ease from the moment they met. Instantly becoming my son’s favorite doctor! We learned that our son had enlarged tonsils and adenoids. We did an allergy test to confirm there was nothing else causing the inflammation and agreed to monitor him, as surgery would be a last resort. Dr. Godin explained everything clearly and told us to follow up with any questions or concerns. Months later we returned when his breathing became worse. We discovered he had sleep apnea and he wasn’t sleeping well. After much careful consideration we decided to do a partial tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Everyone in his office was helpful and supportive. They reached out to explain everything and talk us through it. My recent visit to this doctor's office was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment the doctor entered the room, he was cold and distant, not even bothering to greet me. We sat in an uncomfortable silence while he clicked away on the computer, completely disregarding any attempt at basic human interaction or 'bedside manner.'The real shock came when he began to examine a throat issue I was experiencing. Without a word of explanation, he abruptly sprayed numbing spray up my nose and told me to sniff. The spray immediately started dripping down my face, into my mouth, and onto my shirt. I had to use my hands to catch the liquid to avoid staining my clothes. It wasn't until after an extended period that he finally offered me a tissue.The worst part was when, again without any warning or information, he suddenly shoved a long camera up my nose and into my throat. Dr. Godin did my sinus surgery in June. I was very nervous and scared at first. But Dr. Godin and his team, particularly Allyson, really put my mind at ease and took the time to answer all of my questions before surgery. After the surgery, he called to check on me to make sure I was okay. My sinuses feel so much better now. Even though I was nervous at first, I am so grateful I had the surgery and especially grateful that I went to Dr. Godin. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an ENT.

Dr Godin. is courteous , professional with excellent bedside manners, honest and to the point, provides education and also print out report post visit about the encounter and care plan. As an anxious parent of a pediatric patient we had an outstanding experience with the Doctor and the office as well.

I would not personally recommend this practice and Dr. Godin, an appointment with whom involved an hour-long wait for a morning slot. The in-person consultation was incredibly rushed when the doctor did have time to stop by the examination room. My questions were hardly answered, and he did not explain what he was doing or why during the physical examination. I was then hastily led out of the room and to the front of the practice to check-out. As I hurriedly worked through the handful of overview questions that I had prepared to understand his diagnosis, the doctor berated a couple of his employees in front of several other patients. He additionally began to loudly answer my private medical questions in front of the check-out area, well within earshot of unrelated employees and other patients. I would not recommend this practice and doctor at all.

Dr.Godin saved my life.I went in for, what I thought was, a routine check-up on my irritated sinuses due to the winter weather and intense NYC apartment radial heating. After prescribing me a 10-day antibiotic, I returned feeling much better. He insisted on taking a biopsy of one area that looked a little inflamed. I felt like maybe this was not necessary but I gave my consent as I did trust him and his experience. I'm glad I did as the biopsy came back as positive for cancer. It lead me on a long journey to oncologists to treatment, and finally recovery. If it wasn't for Dr.Godin's instincts and expertise I don't know how long it would have taken to be diagnosed with cancer, let alone find where it was stemming from. I know a biopsy can sound like a scary thing, but a couple of seconds of discomfort can mean a world of difference.

Dr Godin has been my ENT specialist for more than 22 years. I not only trust him with my health care needs, I enjoy my visits with him. He's fun and caring. Also, he has the best audiologists and other assistants. They seem to enjoy working with him, too.

I was referred to Dr. Godin when I found out that I had thyroid cancer. Dr. Godin made me feel like I was in good hands and he and his team guided me step by step until my surgery. Dr. Godin recommended a partial thyroid removal due to it only being on one side of my thyroid and I followed his recommendation. It's been just over a month since my surgery and I'm so relieved to say that I'm already back to a normal lifestyle and cancer free. The surgery went well, and my results came back as Dr. Godin had anticipated with no signs of it having spread further. I'll be following up with Dr. Godin for screenings, and I feel very lucky to have found a doctor that is so knowledgable and trustworthy.

I was referred to Dr. Godin by my gastroenterologist. I was nervous about the exam, never having had a throat exam. But Dr. Godin couldn’t have been better. He was very pleasant and reassuring. The exam was very quick and painless. His personality was fantastic. And I felt that he really knows his stuff. I would highly recommend him.

I had a good experience with Dr. Godin and glad I went to him to take care of my thyroid cancer. He was smart and took the time to answer my notebook full of questions and referred me to an amazing endocrinologist to handle my routine care.

He is the worst doctor I encountered in nyc. Fully agree with the review below. Zero respect, zero eye contact, he quickly entered the room, did some things and left. I tried talking to him and I asked questions but no chance, he dismissed them. If you have exams and studies prescribed by him, he will not contact you even after he has the results. If you follow up, he will reply with a generic message. Don't waste your money and time. Choose another doctor.

When he entered the exam room, he didn't even make eye contact with me, and sat at the computer clicking around silently for a few minutes. He then asked what the problem was, and I told him that I was experiencing a lot of pain in my ear. Although I had said this, he was rough and harsh with his examination and cleaning, multiplying my pain by a huge amount. When I began crying due to the pain, he did not acknowledge it or say anything. Furthermore, he did not explain what he was doing at any point, and so not only did it hurt much more than I expected, but I also did not understand what he was doing, so I did not know what was coming next, or how uncomfortable it would be. He did not phrase anything in clear terms. I had to ask many clarification questions. For example, he said that I should "avoid water," but didn't explain how to do this. Given how unkind, uncaring, and impatient he was being, you can imagine how unwelcome these clarification questions felt.

It was a very good experience overall!
