Awesome experience. Went from initial consultation to going home from surgery after 8 days. Very approachable when I had questions. Dr. Hikes could tell I wasn't getting rest in the hospital so after spending one night in hospital, he sent me home. I took one pain pill and 6 Tylenol and that was it! I would highly recommend him for anyone that will listen to his guidance.

Dr. Hikes got me hiking again. Three months after a full hip replacement, I walked 5.5 miles in two days on Mt. Hood. When Dr. Hikes entered the room for the three month check-up, I was being a show-off by standing on just the leg with the new hip. My hip replacement was enormously effective in restoring my ability to engage in life and to do the things I enjoy. Dr. Hikes inspired confidence and got the job done without complications. He gets my highest recommendation and most sincere thanks.

Dr.Hikes is a good surgeon and very down to earth. He spends the time with you answering all of my questions. His office staff has been working with him since he opened his practice over 30 years ago so that is a good sign.

I have been bragging to those who ask me about my operation saying "Dr. Christopher Hikes is the best". I did some research on the hip replacement procedure before meeting him. He explained everything so well and had a philosophy on the choice of procedure that was perfect for me. His bedside manner is gentle and caring. I wanted to know much about everything and he exceeded my desire. I had the operation on March 1. On March 4, I walked for 90 minutes slowly in my recovery house.

Dr Hikes explained the procedure to me with great detail. He made sure I understood everything that would happen and had me bring in a list of questions which he took time in answering.

I have been seeing Dr. Hikes for over 10 years as he replaced both of my hips. I have not had any issues with my hips and he was always available to answer my questions even if was out of town. I have told anyone who lets me know they are thinking about hip replacement to please see Dr. Hikes.
