Dr. David Hirsch, MD

Dr. Hirsch is an excellent doctor. Last summer he performed carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand and did an outstanding job. The scar is essentially invisible. This most recent visit was for injections to treat trigger finger and arthritis in my left thumb. He is a good communicator, friendly, and answered all my questions. He explained where the injections would be made, the reason for their placement, and the pain levels to expect, so there were no surprises. He also explained the healing process and effectiveness duration. I’m very pleased with the staff, the office visit and procedure, and the outcome.

Today my mother was rushed to Advent Waterman in Eustis. She has a dog bite that left her skin hanging and the bone exposed and broken. The treating physician stated that she would need surgery. Apparently, Waterman does not have a hand surgeon, so the Dr. ordered her transported to Orlando. The nurse and techs there kept her comfortable and gave her pain meds. I left with the understanding my stepfather would contact me after she was moved. Sometime went by and I got a call from him. He was informed by the nurse that a Dr. Hirsch, who was contacted to do the surgery stated, 'it isn't that bad' and a transport 'isn't necessary'. He has never seen her and stated he would see her Monday. The Dr. at Waterman, not sure what else to do, stitched her up and she is now home attempting to rest in spite of the pain. After first visit and following his recommendations, I had a concern as I was not getting any better. I sent couple messages to Dr. Hirsh without any response so I had to call the office multiple times to finally order a test. And he didn't inform me of what to do while waiting to get the test done. I felt there was lack of good communication which delayed my diagnosis and recovery.

After reading all of the reviews regarding Dr. Hirsch, I scheduled an appointment to see him. I was highly impressed with his professionalism knowledge and personality. Never felt rushed and he thoroughly explained everything. Can’t recommend him enough!!

Dr. Hirsch is AMAZING. He’s a total miracle worker. I broke my wrist pretty badly and his repair was flawless. I’m in awe of his skill level and his kind demeanor. Dr Hirsch not only genuinely cares about his patients, he takes the time to reassure the patient , make certain you understand and he answers all of your questions. Dr. Hirsch has an insane ability and level of talent to bring a patient back to where they were functioning prior to injury. He turns water into wine. I’m blessed to have found him!!!

Explains procedures and treatment plans in detail. He talks in easy to understand medical language so a patient will fully know what to expect.

Dr Hirsch is clearly an expert in his field, compassionate & detailed on how to manage flare ups, as well as explaining the surgical procedure if I should need it. This greatly relieved my anxiety.

I have quite a few Orthopedic doctors by me but choose to drive an hour to see Dr Hirsch, my peace of mind and confidence in a doctor and his abilities are worth the drive. The office and staff are great, the scheduling times are perfect so your not stuck sitting in the waiting room or in the back waiting on the doctor.

Dr. Hirsch is a very kind and patience Dr. He takes the time to explain things to you and answer questions. Great personality with an excellent sense of humor. I am a senior citizen and was afraid. He made me feel completely at ease.

Dr was on time. Examined my healing injury and confirmed treatment plan. Reviewed xray - no bone damage. Also mentioned future treatment possibilities for duputryenes at later stage. Contact brief but informative. I felt confident Dr was very amicable and knowledgeable would consult again should need arise.

Dr. Hirsch took the time to review X-rays, examine and diagnosed injury. Confirmed there was no break, and provided a splint for 6 weeks to ensure proper healing. Scheduled follow up to examine progress and weening off of splint. I appreciated his thorough diagnosis and non-surgical treatment plan!
