I have been waiting to be ready for LASIK for a long time. I was referred to Dr Hunter, and it’s easy to understand why. He’s a very kind educated individual who made sure I understood everything that was going on the whole way through. His staff members are all very sweet and friendly, 10 out of 10 would recommend. From start to finish, it was a simple comfortable journey for a life changing procedure.

For a first time appointment with a new patient they did not seem to have the equipment most offices use to screen patients. Considering my history I have always been given a retina scan. I did not see this equipment, nor was one done. The doctor's examine was under 10 minutes for a new patient. He did not address my main complaint.

Dr. Hunter presented my options for cataract surgery based on a very comprehensive eye exam. He is extremely knowledgeable, very easy to talk with and ask questions of. My first eye surgery was very successful and I look forward to the second surgery coming up!

Dr. Hunter of Sungate Medical Group. and his staff along with the staff of Bluffton Okatie Outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Center are very kind, dedicated, talented professionals,who do their best to care for you. They skillfully use the most modern equipment, much of which I’ve never encountered before, including Dr. Hunter’s utilization of laser-assisted eye surgery. In particular, Dr. Hunter is a truly caring, calm, highly trained and skilled eye surgeon, who previously removed a cyst on my eyelid and recently removed cataracts from my eyes while also dramatically improving the acuity of my vision. With the blessing of God, Dr. Hunter, his staff and equipment, and the staff and equipment of the Outpatient Surgical Center have miraculously improved my sight! What a great team Dr. Hunter leads!
