I arrived early and was called in for blood pressure check and weight quickly. Waited a while for the P.A., William. He was very nice but, as it turned out, gave me information that wasn't relevant. Dr. Imagawa came in after another 30 mins. He was not at all friendly, abruptly gave me negative information regarding what he believes my health situation is with NO empathy or show of concern. Actually he was almost rude. That was upsetting. I felt as though he may as well have said "You're terminal"! I do appreciate that he made arrangements for Dr. Abby to do a needle liver biopsy as, initially, IR said they couldn't do it. The endoscopic biopsy results were all benign but he and William said that wasn't good enough. The Dr. spent about 7 minutes with me. I left at 4:10 after arriving at 2:30 for my 3:00 appt. I've been very stressed waiting for a biopsy date and worried that there's no hope for me. NONE of the other Doctors whom I've met with at UCI have been anything other than kind and empathetic.
