Dr. David Kim, MD

I know Dr. Kim is a top dermatologist in NYC, but I had a really poor experience with him a few weeks back. He spent maybe less than five minutes in the room with me, and I had to keep stopping him from walking out of the room so I could ask a question or clarify something he had said quickly. He spoke over me, and was randomly combative about something in my medical history that had literally nothing to do with why I was seeing him. (Now that I think about, he spent almost as much time grilling me about the unrelated medical issue I had 15 years ago and how he disagreed with the diagnosis than on the appointment itself.) As a woman you get used to doctors not listening to you, but this was the worst I've encountered in a long time. I'm sure he's great at the procedures he does (I wouldn't know, I was too turned off by the experience to pursue them), but I say look elsewhere if you're looking into a cosmetic dermatologist. Not worth the experience.
